  1. yep.....i agree you can't control what the refs are gonna call. however, there will always be some fouls a player has to learn to pull away from. i know, it's not easy in heated battle. just curious, what type of injury did she have?

  3. no real surprise.........after the game against michigan, i thought she would be at least a freshman "co" player of the week. need to keep her improving. want to see her be aggressive, but, watch the "dumb" fouls...she needs to be on the floor. it's going to be interesting to see how the refs call the markowski/holmes matchup.
  4. agree.........bourne isn't having a great year so far. she's been good, however, needs to step it up a bit.
  5. at that time slot, sure would think so
  6. agree........8500 would be FANtastic! however, don't see why they shouldn't draw at least 6000+
  7. just to throw something out about this quote. a couple, three weeks ago, i was listening to 93.7 one morning and they were discussing this topic (although, related to the men's side). appears there has been the same question. Sipple stated he had a number of fans ask him what is going on with the concessions. Sip said he talked to someone from the PBA side and they stated they have had a difficult time getting workers and getting the product (not to mention quantity). hope that helps with your question.
  8. man, even though i had been thinking iowa might come out of it's offensive funk, i never thought they would score 95 against the huskers defense. if the huskers were gonna "clock" iowa, i thought the best chance would be at PBA. crap. like coach williams has stated....gotta show some consistency to be a very good team.
  9. just got home..................HOLY COW!!!
  10. Maryland is at Minny on Sunday. Coach Frese comments on Whalen's next class: It's been a long time since she coached Minnesota for that one season. But she has kept her eye on the program and kept in touch with Whalen, reaching out to the Gophers coach after her emergency appendectomy this week. She also expects the Gophers' prospects to rise once the recruiting class of Mallory Heyer, Amaya Battle, Mara Braun and Nia Holloway — a top-10 class — gets to campus come fall."That is a very talented group," Frese said. "We recruited a lot of them. I see a big jump next year, really in two years. That class is special."
  11. plus, this: Charlie Creme rates the college transfers... 2. Jaz Shelley, Nebraska Cornhuskers, G, so. Previous school: Oregon Ducks 2021-22 stats: 13.6 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 4.6 APG When Moe, Australia, met Lincoln, Nebraska, it turned out to be the perfect match. Shelley, a member of the Australian national team, has helped transform the Cornhuskers in two months. Last year, they were 13-13. This season, they are 13-1 after a convincing win over top-10 Michigan on Tuesday night, a game in which Shelley, who leads the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals, recorded her fourth double-double. https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/32994870/2021-22-women-college-basketball-transfer-rankings
  12. yes.....nw a little helter skelter, but, they are very athletic. i was pretty impressed with the youngsters. i could see them continue to grow (if the games go on as scheduled). going out on a limb a bit, but, might be a team you don't want to play come tourney time. we'll see. iowa---clark is going to get her points. her 3's aren't dropping like last season.....but, she can score in so many ways. pretty sure iowa lost 2 players to season ending injury before season started and another is in a boot right now. can't remember her name, but, when the one came in for Czinano there wasn't much of a drop off. so, yeah, their depth is ailing a bit. iowa still has a potent offense in their pocket...i think they can go off at anytime. they just don't seem to be quite the threat consistently on offense as last season. yep, defense still suspect. should be very interesting game on sunday....like huskers chances. even if they don't quite match the play from the last game.
  13. see many games are postponed. hope the iowa/husker matchup stays in place!
  14. hey Bugs! hope things are going well for you!
  15. sorry, i just posted this under the other thread.....oh well, just making sure fans can't miss it!!!
  16. attendance was listed as just short of 3600. sounded pretty loud in PBA. i would think the Iowa game will draw over 4000. a Sunday afternoon game, plus iowa will probably have a decent section of fans.
  17. Jaz sure got under Brown's skin. i thought Haiby was a little taller than Jaz, but, i see they are both listed at 5'9". i was concerned how the huskers would handle the 6'1" Brown. very well, thank you!
