  1. very few teams across the country play more than 7.5 or 8 kids in conf. games. Just the way it is. there are tons of tv timeouts and the kids are in good enough shape to play 32-35 if they need to. Rachel can play more because we play a very scouting report oriented defense and she usually gets a weaker kid that can't shoot as well so she doesn't have to pressure the ball which allows her to save energy for offense. Our freshman will be fine. Natalie and Chandler will play some this year because they are the most ready and we need them. It will be rocky at times next year when we lose the 4 srs. but if you recall it was rocky at times early in their careers also. They current freshman class plus the incoming class will have some great seasons down the road if Jess is healthy. I really like Brandi and Tee, but I feel comfortable that our freshman will be able to fill in those two spots next year and not see a huge back court drop off. Where we will struggle early is replacing Cady and Hallie. Havers is a good young role player and will score but can't rebound nearly as well as those two because of strength. Sadie and Tvrdy might have played some this year if they had stayed, especially early when we had injuries, but it wouldn't have been enough to make either one of them happy.
  2. The phrase "Romeo, oh Romeo where for art thou Romeo" will start to get old if it hasn't already -- -if we sign anybody named Julie the next few years we are really in trouble.
  3. I think Tee is 8-50 in 3 conf. games I think about 5 of the 8 are layups. Problem is not only the slump but she is a high volume shooter. She is really pressing right now and taking some bad shots which is compounding the problem. We really need her to get back on track. When she is efficient and scoring we are WAY better.
  4. I think we have 3 scholarships open actually. We had one open before the pages both left. I am guessing with Jess' injury, pages departure, and the fact that the verdict is still out on all the freshman because of injuries and lack of production so far that we bring in at least one and maybe 3 kids this spring. Guessing we will be looking at jc kids, foreigners, and ladies that graduated but have a year left and are eligible immediately.
  5. Those are good pictures. whoever take the photos that are always posted on the nu website does a great job.
  6. Rachel played with lanie on the same club team for a couple tournaments. To my knowledge she never played with Kaylee, but I could be wrong. As a practical matter the Page girls did not play much club ball. Bounced around teams and played occasionally but I would guess it is way less than 95% of BCS kids.
  7. just noticed this thread is blowing up this board with 430 views already. interesting.
  8. I can 100% guarantee you it won't be northern Colorado. There was no meaningful relationship between the n. Col staff and the Page family while staff was at KSU.
  9. I have heard there is some concern that they had a shoe problem. If you notice they were not wearing the same shoes last night and appear to have punted use of the prior model. Frustrating.
  10. kalenta will be fine. I think the coaches are very comfortable with how she has done so far. Remember, she wasn't even on campus this summer. She will play more than all the freshman except Natalie and Chandler in my opinion.
  11. We are tall but the new kids I am expecting the most from are Chandler Smith and Natalie Romeo. I am guessing they are the two new kids that will play by far the most.
  12. After a long off season, summer workouts, fall small group workouts, and limited team practices of 2 hours per week the real season begins today. We will have some tired girls by Friday night would be my guess. I am sure they will work really hard these first couple weeks to try to get the new kids as up to speed as possible.
  13. No question it helps because it puts the program in a very positive light, and increases the chance of having winning teams while she is here. Both of those factors help recruiting. That said, next year the roster will have at least 10 kids that are sophs or freshman so some recruits for 2016 and beyond may start worrying about early PT so that will be a relevant factor to some kids.
  14. I think full schedule practices start in a week. Excited to watch our team grow. Expecting great leadership from our srs and Rachel as all the new kids try to adjust to bcs level bball.
  15. lmao. I read the knew posts from the bottom up. Couldn't figure out why bugs wanted to know if I had been in a cold pool until I got up to Silver's post. Then I started laughing. I am an old white guy. My font isn't big before I get in the pool.
  16. no idea why the type is so small on my last post.
  17. The board needs to rally. Any updates? Practice should start before too long I would think.
  18. no disrespect but from going to jc to big 10 15 ppg is setting the bar way to high. If she avgs 10 ppg and 5 reb it would be a huge addition.
  19. I think there was a younger kid there also on an unofficial. I think the hosts were Rachel, Allie and Emily Wood.

  22. Thanks Row
  23. I don't have any info but the board has been too quiet for several days so I thought I would start a new thread fishing for fall updates. I believe all 14 kids are on campus now and practice should start up in early October.
  24. They will likely all have some homesickness at some point. That is part of going away for the first time. However, they will be busy and have a great support system so they will grow through it.
  25. All the girls should start arriving back on campus this week after heading home on break. With Anya (sp?) arriving we should have them all on campus now.
