Watching Old Miss and Missouri basketball

Yes but they would sit have to shoot at a goal. -
Sorry but Dirk is a Dink

Agree, one of the things our bigs all need to do more. We went from not feeding them to feeding and no kick back out ever.
-
This or someone needs to check what's in the water bottle he is using.

We need shooters!

Only thing to gain would be a couple more practices.

and a hockey game has broke out.

Great thought

lol true, but guessing they won't all be there at once and if need be I will sneak in incognito! And looking at my spelling in the original post, it appears I drank lunch.

I would give you two up arrows for use of this Monty Python clip!

Biggest thing for me was the improvement by the young players. Watson, Jacobson, Morrow, and McVeigh all improved from last year. Jordy was a different player from the start to the finish of the season. Roby and Horne both flashed signs of being able to compete at this level. Clearly none of them are a finished product but if they can improve as much as Tai did from his first year to this year things will be bright in Lincoln. Second would be outside the last two weeks of the regular season, we were competitive with anyone we played. Hopefully these guys figure out how to get over the hump in all those close loss games next year.

Well at some point I will be home for a home basketball game and I will buy around for those here who came make it.

Wouldn't it be easier to just walk over to Longwells or one of the other places with adult beverages and enjoy one of those?

Okay I'll start it Who is coming back?

Not a stupid question at all. Think it will come down to (should this need arise) who it is that leaves and how to balance classes. IF anyone leaves I hope we find a shooting guard that can knock down an open shot or another big to allow Ed to play the 4 full time. -
The foul issue got better as the year went on and he will learn and improve to avoid the silly fouls! (I hope)
-
That would start with setting a solid pick to free someone up.

Agree, watching the game yesterday our big guys would set a pick, the dribble would use it and then either the big took a horrible route to basket or someone else ran to that spot. Our spacing was awful. As far as adjustments I hope Roby, Horne, Watson and McVeigh spend any free time they have in the gym working on their outside shot. I hope Jordy, Ed and Jake work on shots around the basket and not putting the ball on the floor once they catch it. Hope the big guys also work on catching it and kicking it back out once in a while Perimeter defense just has to improve It was pointed out once yesterday how easy PSU big guy had it rolling to the lane due to lack of help defense, we need to work on help defense (the old see man see ball and be one pass away to help. Lots of positives to look forward to IF everyone stays this off season (including no self imposed recruiting sanctions). Tweek a few things and next year could be fun!

Dean I should have worded my comment differently about not adding anything. Clearly he was and I should have added more verbage to my comment. Wish you would post more as you are one who has knowledge. -

Get it quite well thank you. 20% shooting 3 to 5 turnovers a game is not adding much. He hit a slump at the end and was in a funk. Dean it was clear early on this year, he was the leader, he scored, played defense. As I said above, he was clearly gassed at the end and not playing nearly as well. Minutes in a blow out could have gone to a younger guy to get experience. -
I feel sad tonight about how the last two weeks plus played out (Damn you Silverback). Conference play started with so much promise and by the end it was back to just more of the same. How can we still not have 1 or 2 kids that can knock down a jump shot consistently? Hell even Penn State does. We didn't turn the ball over as much today, at least early I hope that whoever is in charge of defense figures out how to stop the pick and roll and the pick and pop. I hope Roby and Horne come back with the confidence and improvement we saw with the Soph at the start of the year. I hope we figure out how to run an inbounds play that is not just toss the ball back to half court. Guess I have another year to cross winning a NCAA tournament game while PapaCH is with us.

True, Tai looked gassed for a few games and then gassed and frustrated as hell. Part of me wishes Miles would have sat him more in the last few games when it was clear he was not adding anything. The future could have been now.
