You beat me to it Norm by seconds.

Is anybody else reading anything into the fact that Coach Herriman tweeted that he is headed to Dallas? He is not really hiding anything there. (if his trip is connected to Robinson)
-
That's the one. Thanks.

I think Hahn from Fremont, Hagedorn from Norfolk the kid from North Sioux City that I can't remember and others. I think Coach Miles does a good job of touching base with some local kids that have potential, just in case they develop their game to be a Big Ten player. I'm guessing it will be a mix of 2014, 2015 and maybe 2016 classes.

I believe Coach Miles has some local talent coming in for a weekend unofficial visit. Sounds like they will play some pick-up games and attend the football game and tour the new arena.

Georgetown doing it big four big time commits!!!! Washut retweets E. Robinson He sounds excited.

They make it sound like conferences are all the same in all sports. The Big 10 is much, much, tougher in basketball than football and most years the Big 8/12 was much better or had a lot more depth in basketball than football.

2015 Malik Hluchoweckyj
Navin R. Johnson replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Who-wool-la-jecky is pretty close I think! When I saw him he was obviously a good athlete with a nice shot and good ball handling skills. Maybe not a Big 10 player now but has a ton of potential and is someone to keep an eye on if he improves his skill set. Just going to be a junior this year. -
2015 Malik Hluchoweckyj

I just call him Malik Alphabet! He just keeps getting better and better as a basketball player. It will be interesting to see what sport (or sports) he decides to play in college. -
Bellevue West's Malik Hluchoweckyj (@Malik_ABC) tells me he's getting interest from Nebraska for football, basketball and track. #Huskers From Robin Washut on twitter

Can we start the clearinghouse process now?!!!

I guess we are not the only program with an open scholarship this late in the game.

Wow, when you look over that list of players that were suppose to be our top recruits you see a lot of names that really did not pan out. Sallie was a good player, but I don't think he was nearly as good as people here in Nebraska made him out to be. Harris was okay, but not close to a game changer. Diaz never really had the fire to be a big time player. Niemann had major injury issues, but I don't think many really expected him to be a game changer either. Joaquim has been better than I thought he would be and Standhardinger did not ever seem to really fit in with the system or his teammates. Looking back, I'm not sure how much we really missed out on with these guys. It's more like we played the "what if" game with some of these guys and built them up to be better than they were or are.

Robin Washut tweeted we might be to late to get a visit from Uchebo.

Mikael Herbert - PF - Visiting Nebraska
Navin R. Johnson replied to Nebrasketballer's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I was of course disappointed about Tummala signing with AZ State but Herbert fills more of a void being more of a 4-5 player instead of a wing like Sai. If he can play, and we do land him, it could be a very good fit for us. -
Sai Tummala -> Arizona St.-> Hawaii

What time zone is this guy in! Some place west of Hawaii? Maybe it is still late afternoon there! -

The longer he waits the less I like our chances of landing him. -

Big Men Are A Tough Find
Navin R. Johnson replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
So if we go back, say about 40 years we have the following list of 4 year, non foreign true post scholarship players: J. Turek M. Moore V. Hamilton R. King D. Hoppen A. Smith C. McPipe (I can't remember Cox or MacFarlene, CWG you will have to help me out if these two made the qualifications for the list) That is really a short list considering we are going back 40 years. Some really good players though. -

Correct me if I'm wrong but Lively left after a year or two and Wilbrand was not on scholarship. -

Was Chandler a 4 year player? I thought of Conklin more of a 4 man. -
With the recent search we are conducting to find a big to fill out our roster I was just thinking how tough it has been for NU to find quality post players. There are not a lot to go around and of course your big name schools usually pick over the cream of the crop so the rest are left searching for a late bloomer or a diamond in the rough or have to take a chance on someone as far as character or grades go. My question is: How many true post players has Nebraska recruited over the years that spent four years here and were not from a foreign country? I don't really count Ubel as I saw him as more of a 4 man having to play the 5 spot. I can only think of John Turek (Collier guy) Mikki Moore (Nee) and Venson Hamilton (Nee). That is going back a ways. Hamilton was a late sign if I remember right because of grade issues and Moore was a project that did bloom late but was not highly recruited. Any other names? I think it just shows that you can find some good guards and wing players but there just are not that many bigs to go around. (We were really lucky to have a Hoppen and a King to come out of our own state years back)

Hey, let's get the names right here! (die gas pumper!)
