  1. He is around 6' 4" and played the 4 or 3 for South. Averaged about 7 pts and 5 boards a game. Very athletic, very good rebounder good in the high post suspect outside shooter but may have improved since the season.
  2. Storm is closer to 6'5" now but could grow. He is not playing this summer because of a foot issue. Definitely one to keep your eye on.
  3. Wow, that article really makes it sound promising for the Huskers.
  4. This This Not sure why anyone would be ready to jump out the window when we are returning a preseason top 25 team. Seems like a premature move. Not to mention we will probably be seeing a visit from a 4 star Kansas transfer soon. Bingo! Nice outlook on the big picture.
  5. "It's Friday afternoon. Maybe it's time to start drinkin' and just forget about empty scholarships." Best post of the week!
  6. I agree with the idea of filling all your scholarships up with players that fit your needs, but to just put a guy on your team to fill a spot is not always a good thing. Most of your one year transfers expect to play. If they just sit the bench and fill a roster spot they will potentially bring a bad attitude to the team causing chemistry issues. If you give a scholarship to a walk-on at least it is a reward for effort and hard work. Best case scenario is to fill all 13 spots with kids that fit your needs, but it is not always that easy.
  7. Not a bad player to get as a walk on.
  8. It will be interesting to see what Malik Hluchoweckyj of Bellevue West will do in college. Stand out in three sports. Played well in the state tournament this year in basketball. Just a Junior, so he still has a little time to figure it out.
  9. From viewing these on the tube...it appears these tournaments are made for TV sparsely attended events...entrance does not appear to be a problem. Perhaps somebody that has been to a Hawaiian event on XMAS can confirm. If you can get the wife to go without paying for the whole dang family...good job! Me...I'll be with the grandkids...yelling at the TV. Somebody has to stay and take care of the dog! The "kid" is old enough to pay her own way if she wants to go!
  10. It looks like there will be a package deal for tickets and transportation to the arena. Search diamond head classic and Hawaiian airlines. I don't think travel plans are finalized yet though.
  11. Not that it would not be a blast, just a little concerned about the cost!
  12. Made the mistake of mentioning it to the wife as a possibility! If it works into my schedule, good chance I will be there.
  13. My Buccos with a walk off homerun by Neil Walker in the bottom of the 10th. For me it's two seasons: basketball from Nov to March and baseball April to October.
  14. I remember after watching last year's championship game thinking that if those teams played like that 15 years ago, both teams would be fouled out by half. Crazy how the game has changed.
  15. Brian Rosenthal ‏@HuskerExtraBR 1h Tarin Smith, by the way, is a 4.0 student. #Nebrasketball Expand
  16. R.W. tweeted that he did not make it to the game.
  17. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut 45m 2014 juco PG @Dat_boy_TD told @HawkeyeReport that Iowa, #Nebrasketball and UAB are his top-3 choices right now.
  18. Not sure what this is: Trey Dickerson ‏@Dat_boy_TD5m Might be out for the season
  19. Not for sure on this, but I think there might be grade issues here as well.
  20. Thomas' stock is rising, trouble is he is hurt and out for a few weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
  21. You can add Jalen Bradley (2012) to the list. He is a D1 player at UNO.
  22. Mitchell Hahn is the kid from Fremont. He is 6'7" and can play inside or out. He signed with Holy Cross.
  23. Robin Washut ‏@RobinWashut1h Former #Nebrasketball recruit Jonah Bolden committed to UCLA. Expand
  24. I did not get a chance to watch the game today, just listened off and on. Did we play any zone today on defense? I know Miles is a man coach all the way but if we can't keep teams out of the paint we might have to play it more and hope teams miss shots. It will be interesting to see if Miles can get them to defend or if he gives in and plays more zone.
