Color me skeptical on both. Both have just one NCAA win and haven't shown they can win at a high major yet. I just don't think they're Dusty May type hires like some are expecting.

Likely true. But sometimes the things that work with 3 star players who have a chip on their shoulder, don’t work with the kind of talent Indiana brings in. If he can walk that tight rope they’ll be back to a top tier program. If not they may resemble this year’s Rutgers team. Or this year’s Indiana team for that matter.

His rebounds more than doubled, his assists tripled, blocks and steals up, his shooting percentages were all up even with the post injury slump. Before the injury he was low 30s on three. If he can hit 35% next year he creates a lot of space. He’s not far off being a difference maker. If “worrying” about future production is off base, let’s close up recruiting and portal discussion permanently.

I agree we likely overpaid for Meah. If Berke stays and gets closer to his ceiling, we won't have overpaid. His stats we're trending up pretty significantly before he missed time and they were still up with his bad stretch after injury factored in. Another jump next year is likely in order.

This is my stance exactly. If we’re so far behind in NIL, we better not fire the guy who took us to the tourney for the first time in a decade last year, and almost got us there again this year. No one would come here as things stand.

If we had an extra million say, would you go get a $1 mil player, or swap say three 400k guys for three 700-750k guys?
