Blunder isn't all that, she had some great players late but could never get 'over the proverbial hump' like a great coach would do. She was a dirtbag, too.
I mentioned this to a bunch of Iowegians that Clark would struggle mightily *early on* when the big dawgs get a hold of her in the league. They didn't believe me, lol.
Not in the vein of Dr. Tom Osborne, not even close. But I understand the general idea, Blunder got as far as she could go.... it's not the same as winning 3 of 4 titles in my book.
And that's a wild scenario: let's win 1, first. ONE GAME!
No, Osborne went out on top by winning 3 titles in 4 seasons. Blunder got to two national title games, and lost both. That's not "on top," as far as I'm concerned. Now, if they had won this year, then, yeah, that's 'on top!'
That'd be fun if he did, lol.
Also, a bit ironic is that Doc Sadler learned under Eddie Sutton, the venerable coach at Okie St, the very school that Dougy G. played at, where he couldn't put on his shorts correctly, sheesh!! lol.
Looks like a few were canceled or involved a cross-state rival.... if that's how you have to do it, then so be it. They must have excellent, deep pitching staffs. That's the only way it makes any sense at all...
If you're not a top-15 WNBA draft selection, roughly, then you aren't making it. Jaz was the 17th pick, and PHX didn't keep any of its most-recent draft selections in '24.
Illini stay ahead at 15-6, NU is 14-7. If those two are tied after next weekend, NU has the tiebreaker for that #1 seed in Omaha for the Big Ten tourney.
Lamenting all those mid-week debacles, 'cuz if NU had taken care of biz, they'd probably be 37-13 otherwise right about now. Ughh. It is all still in their grasp, 'cuz if IA can beat IL today, and NU can sweep MSU, then it's a result of NU being at least co-champs in the B1G. GBR!
