  1. That better not be an And 1...foul occurred before the shot
  2. Offensive foul on Jordy was total horseshit.
  3. Sorry, I meant for the year.
  4. Washut talked to Miles, and Miles said he hadn't heard that from Ed or the trainers, just the media, so probably/hopefully not true. That would be our luck however.
  5. Wow, what a great environment! The team really brought it, the fans really brought it! It was about as loud as I can remember since NSS! We could've folded as they continued to hit 3 after 3, but the boys went toe-to-toe, blow-for-blow! Let's get a nice little streak going into February and see what happens!
  6. I was thinking this exact thought after today's game.
  7. Watson, Roby, Horne, Copeland, Gill, Palmer, Nana, Taylor...we'll be okay as long as no one in the main rotation transfers. But every year (Petteway, Pitchford, White, etc) someone leaves who we don't expect. We HAVE TO avoid that this coming offseason.
  8. Let me first say that I DON'T think Miles should be fired. Our two best players have either fell or lost the ball in the last 30 seconds on critical plays that both end up costing us. Having said that, what a roller coaster for Miles. Hot seat after Gardner Webb, 3 game win streak to get us and the National media excited, now potential hot seat talk will pry be back in full swing. All I know is that there can't be many fan bases left that have to endure the F'N agony that is Nebrasketball. This f'N sucks so much.
  9. Roby at the high post against the zone please!
  10. I'm at a loss of words. I know we miss Morrow, but you should not have this bad of a showing against RUTGERS.
  11. Must-win, let's get it boys!!
  12. Zone for sure. For the most part, it takes away things like one guy being responsible. Pack the paont, and if they hit a long jumper, so be it.
  13. Can't tell if this is a diss or a compliment. He said something similar during our first year in the Big Ten. It was something along the lines of not knowing much about our guys from the recruiting trail. At that time, it was definitely not a compliment. We have plenty of top 150 guys, so I'm not sure why he would choose those words with our current roster.
  14. Big opportunity Saturday! It's obviously not must-win, but like Coach Miles talks about playing with a lead, a win to try and separate ourselves and Michigan State from the rest of the pack a little bit would be huge, especially with Purdue losing tonight!
  15. I agree! The games I've been to this year, we have been still doing the Husker Power chant. I wanna say that during the Creighton game, I couldn't even hear their players' names. In regards to the intro/starting lineup video, we should go back to the 13/14 video when we went to the dance. We used "My Songs Know...Light Em Up" by Fallout Boy. That piano intro was legit. And when the song said "light Em up", the arena flashed with flames from the video. We really had something great with intros using that set up. Not sure why we went away from it.
  16. One great example of a change by the staff was seeing Horne not get pulled after giving up a couple 3's. I love that the staff is letting our guys play!! Let's keep this train rolling!
  17. I could see this being a "got the monkey off our back" game of sorts. I went tonight, and at times it felt like another potential disaster awaited us. Although we didn't close until the very end, it seemed like a bit of an exhale for the team. They are done with finals, can enjoy Christmas break a little, then get ready for Indiana. We may have found our shooter in Horne who can also put it on the deck! I think we will see a UCLA-type effort in Bloomington. Let's see if our shots are falling and who knows what can happen. And I think Jordy plays a good chunk to try and neutralize Thomas Bryant.
  18. Good to know! I will continue to use them at the end then!
  19. I see that Lee includes the write up for the Southern game in this article, and it includes Jordy, Ed, Evan, Tai, and Glynn as the starters! I'd like to see Roby in for Evan, but this is close to what a lot of us have been asking for! (Sorry, as a teacher and the husband of an English teacher, I shouldn't end a sentence with a preposition )
  20. This! Morrow and Jordy together please. Some might argue it's one less possible shooter, but when you've averaged 3 made 3's per game in the last 3 games, you gotta try something. I still think this could be a nice lineup.
  21. Exactly. We are talking about a perennial Top 10 program with multiple Final Four trips and national titles. Even they have embarrassing losses. Their recruiting should be able to overcome teams like Northeastern.
  22. I wonder if Watson coming off the bench is about getting the second unit going. Our bench has been awful. He and Webster are our best threats to score obviously.
  23. I can agree with you on in-game strategy. At some point though, some of those other things are the players' responsibilities as well. I believe we have good talent, but maybe not the best combinations in spots needed to turn the corner as a team.
  24. I know Miles and staff are getting paid, and the job just isn't getting done these last couple years, but, at some point, our players have got to man up and play some basketball. Guys like Jacobson getting consistently stripped of the ball after all the offseason weight training gains is unacceptable. These guys have played countless games and have 24/7 access to facilities that are equal or better than almost any college or pro team, yet they can't throw the ball in the ocean.
