  1. The first 30 minutes (+/-) was absolutely bad basketball. The last 15 minutes (+/-) was an absolute piece of classic art. What a satisfying win! Bryce went from pathetic to great. Mast faught and faught and then boom. Sam and Josiah's effort raised everyone's game several notches. Then there was CJ. Dude...thank you. Your effort and excellence was a pleasure to behold. Keisei...umm, get your head up! You stunk tonight, but better days will follow. JLaw...we need you on defense my man! Fantastic win gents!!!
  2. He struggled on defense as well. So did JLaw in the 2nd half. They came in for a moment in the 2nd half and they gave up consecutive 3's. Out they came.
  3. Great win...but a poorly played birthday game by Keisei. He will bounce back.
  4. Just a thought. Given the inside size of Wisconsin, is this a (the) game that we see 5 to 10 minutes out of Blaise? He gives us a bit of physicality and five available fouls.
  5. From my position, it certainly looked like she was leveraging both legs.
  6. Singing happy birthday at some point during the game seems appropriate.
  7. Actually, both legs.
  8. ...oh by the way, Allison is looking better and better each time I see her. Ouward appearance is that her recovery is going well.
  9. Would it shock anyone if Collins earns a suspension of some sort for charging onto the floor in his confrontational manner?
  10. I struggle defining fouls these days. There is constant contact with any and all movement.
  11. Good win with a number of contributors. Purdue is a pretty pedestrian team; but played a scrappy game. Simon sez, any win is a good win! You had to be there to understand
  12. Sorry, didn't mean to tilt the universal axis so significantly by opening this thread. Just to explain myself; I didn't do it as a show of disrespect or to ruffle feathers. I started it as an escape from the negativity that was ongoing in the Iowa thread. Everyone has a right to their opinion; I thought the new thread (with our upcoming game) could serve as a bastion of positivity for those wishing to explore that option
  13. Not to whine, but until we know if or how much Juwan can play, will have a significant role in the score. Just saying...
  14. Ahem...
  15. We need to set the tone early if we want to place ourselves into the top 15 teams in the country. That is one of our goals, correct? Sooo, we need to win.
  16. Wellll, I did have the mustache in the 70's....
  17. WHAT DOES PORNSTACHE MEAN? A pornstache is a mustache that makes the wearer look sleazy, predatory, or cheaply groomed. It can appear in many different forms and styles, although the most common one is a thick, heavy mustache with slightly elongated ends and no accompanying facial hair. However, a pornstache is generally identified by its effect on the appearance of the wearer, and not by any specific traits of its own.
  18. That's just what they are called. Kelce rocked one and made mention of it on his podcast.
  19. 70's porn staches are back baby!
  20. Perhaps we can get some good vibes going for this game. We can wait on the negativity until after the game . Good luck huskers!!!
  21. Just went back as well. I miss some of those posters. I wonder if they are still around??? Also sort of wonder what post-letter conversations around the old dinner table took place at their house???
  22. Man, I am still feeling the disappointment of this loss. Don't get me wrong, Maryland is an athletic team that earned a powerful win at home. They are to be congraulated. But, and this is big, we played poorly. We are 21 games into the season and our inconsistancy is glaring, and puzzling. We led 12-2 and then our wheels totally fell off. I know many will say relax; but we should play so much better than we did. We played poorly against Rutgers. We played poorly against Iowa. We played poorly against Minnesota. We don't get beat, we get trampled. Why? - lazy passes, - not closing out on perimeter - not boxing out - not aggressively going after rebounds - not finishing at the rim - nor making the extra pass - not making open looks - sulking - not attacking/passiveness - not cherishing the ball - way to many empty possessions! Good teams are not inconsistant. Good teams will grind when necessary. Where is that mentality? Who is the leader(s) that demand effort out of his teammates? I don't believe I am overreacting. This team should be winning. We have proven it with high quality wins. Maybe it is just Juwan not being on the floor. I hope it is something that simply. But the effort given today by this team fell well below moderate expectations.
