From a Creighton source...and this was from last season: This probably belongs on the basketball board, but it certainly has applicability to football. Creighton is putting all of its resources into basketball and trying to build a national brand, according to a very reliable source. Current deal for EVERY scholarship basketball player, per year: 1. $75,000 cash 2. Condo 3. Car NIL is total insanity. It is not sustainable and it certainly isn't fair. Even the NFL and NBA have rules on what teams can pay players.

I guess I didn't realize the Watt brothers grew up in Pewaukee. Good athletes from that town.

That is hilarious! But our staff is almost as lame in their "attempts" to distribute shirts. Sad!

What should Nebraska's real seed be?
Huskerpapa replied to big red22's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If we've been there and done it year after year, then I overwhelmingly agree that a watch party is not warranted. BUT, our lack of basketball history allows us the right to celebrate incremental victories. We struggle getting to the dance. "Our story" can be and should be celebrated. And we may have a flippin parade if we win one, and we may shut down schools if we get to the sweet 16. ...and lest we forget, we have some of our brothers talking statues...soooo -
Yeah...I heard this from one of my people; but I heard it was more speculation rather than rumor. I also heard that the family is happy that Natalie is here. So although anything is possible, I am going to guess that she remains for year two.

Norm's Conference Recognition Watch List

Shoot, I certainly think Sam deserves some love. Defensive team? Sixth man? -
Nice try coach, by the way you are fired. The media is ready for you now!

We should be getting Overbeek back pretty soon, shouldn't we?

I am pretty sure that the staff will be sniffing around. The cool thing though is that we received a lot of national publicity playing Iowa so tough on two occasions and winning once. So not only will we be sniffing; but players may be seeking our phone number as well.

What should Nebraska's real seed be?

The thing is, every team has this same dilemma. Right? What is good, is that we are one of the top 30 teams in the country that seem to do the right things way more often than the bad things. Another plus is that our team finally understands what we need to do, and as a unit, we are getting it done. -
At least someone has us in the top 25 https://share.newsbreak.com/6dc7wqwp

uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 31- Michigan

Is local media [other than Jake and Kent] following the huskers on the road? Most quotes seem to flow from the post-game radio interview. -

It would be a tough; but not impossible turnaround for PBA. There is a concert on Saturday night. -

It would be sweet if we could actually be rated in the top 25 now. At least the top 30. -

He also defended and rebounded well. And lest we forget, he also set some great picks, rebounded well and helped clean the dust off the floor while spending so much time sliding across it on his butt. -

...and is it just me, or does it appear that he has added weight? Not that I should throw that stone. -

Nebraska (22-10) vs. Iowa (28-4) Game Thread
Huskerpapa replied to Bugeaters1's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
I guess I still feel terrible. We coulda, shoulda, woulda won that game. Down the stretch, Iowa executed better and it cost us the win. This is not a negative per se, Iowa simply has been there and done that, and we need to learn from this and take care of business as we move on. Next time we ha e to execute for 40 minutes. That said, I'm very proud to be a Husker fan today. Now, it is sweet 16 time. -
