  1. No way this game gets started on time on ESPN...be prepared to flip channels
  2. HB and his wife will be two rows behind our bench. He will be the one in red.
  3. We came into the Creighton game loose, but looked tighter than tight when the game began. We simply cannot do that at KU. Play loose and free and let happen, happen!
  4. ...and a bit more "stuff" http://sportschatplace.com/college-basketball-picks/2016/12/10/kansas-jayhawks-vs-nebraska-cornhuskers-12/10/16-college-basketball-pick-odds-and-prediction
  5. Decent scouting report from KU about NU: http://www2.kusports.com/weblogs/call-nightengale/2016/dec/9/getting-to-know-nebraska-basketball/
  6. Hopefully I will be SHOCKED at this time tomorrow.
  7. One HECKOFA comeback! Wowser!
  8. I am one torked dude. Was mad last night and I am disappointed today. Nuff said. I am laying low for a few days. Otherwise, I likely would say some things I may regret when I cool down.
  9. Stay at the Clarion Hotel. Good hotel, decent price, very near the stadium, and since I know you and the missus loves good ol country music, you wouldn't be to dern fer away from the Grand Ol Opry
  10. Call me selfish if you wish, but I want all my true number of posts back
  11. I hope my expectations are blown out of the water on this one.
  12. Try to contact The Gym Bar and Grill in San Tan Valley. They have had Nebraska watch parties in the past. Perhaps they can hook you up. I believe their phone number is 480-677-2146
  13. Certainly a different type of PG than Glynn. Looks like he has game.
  14. Good teams are going to run their offenses and defenses. They do not have to gadget up. I won't say that Creighton won't throw an occasional zone at us, but I will be surprised if is anything more than to show us the defense. Where they will change things up is whether they go under or over picks, or other nuances of their man defensive package. But to reinvent the wheel just doesn't sound plausible.
  15. I don't know...the normal person in me would likely strike up a conversation with them and be a nice guy. In fact, I went to Mass on Saturday evening and encountered a family wearing Blue Jay gear. I sort of heckled them in a good natured kind of way as we were filing out of church. I think the four year old was intimidated though But there is a little devil seated on one of my shoulders that given the right incentive would turn me into that A**hole you are talking about. I am not certain what that incentive would be, but when I was younger, it took less than it would today. That incentive would likely be boorish behavior on their part...but most Creighton fans are pretty decent people (for example my idiot sister and brother-in-law --did I just say that out loud). But there are a few...
  16. I don't disagree with the opponent, but I am sort of underwhelmed by the bowl itself, and the location (given that this will basically be a home game for Tennessee).
  17. Here is the deal. We apparently did not go after Patton hard enough. I remember when he signed with Creighton, there were a lot of people kind of surprised. Some people did not think he was going to be a major college player. Good for him that he has apparently materialized into a NBA type player. But I sort of like the group that we picked up in that recruiting class. MJ, Ed, Glynn and Jack. They have all had growing pains and bouts with inconsistency, but they were thrown to the Big Ten wolves in season one, and quite frankly, are doing quite well. Would I like Patton today, sure. But our group is good and could be great by the time they leave good ol UNL.
  18. Okay, I found this and it now makes better sense: The NCAA altered its timeout rules before the 2015-16 season, making it so coaches could no longer call one in live-ball situations. The rule was designed to help speed up play and shift the emphasis of the game to the players. This season, the NCAA has tweaked the rule, allowing coaches to call timeouts in live-ball situations, but only when the team is inbounding the ball.
  19. Okay, I am still a bit confused. This wasn't a dead ball, the ball was in play, simply in transition from a made basket. I guess I have to research what "ball in play" means. To me it if the referee does not have the ball in his hands and the ball isn't "dead" it would be in play. Hmm.
  20. I saw something at the 2:09 mark in the second half of the SD game that I thought I would comment on. SD made a shot and there was an immediate time out. The time out was whistled by the official who was standing directly in front of Coach Smith. Coach Smith appeared to be vehemently signaling for that time out. Normally I would say big whoop. BUT, given the fact that we know that coaches cannot call time outs (note the Clemson game), how pray tell was that time out called?
  21. Huskers 76 Blue Jays 71 Just edited this at 1:35 on game day. I am sitting here working and it simply flashed, we are going to win tonight. Changing my prediction to a Husker win.
  22. Once there lived an astronomer in a town. As we know that astronomers are sky-watchers, he used to go out at night in the open and watch the stars. One night, he was gazing at the sky closely and the same time moving ahead. He got so much involved in sky-watching that he stumbled against the edge of a dry well and fell into it. He lay there groaning in pain. A man passing by heard his groans and came to the well. He asked the astronomer how he got there. The astronomer told him all that happened. The man said, "So you were busy looking into the sky without caring where your feet were carrying you on the ground." "Exactly sir," retorted the astronomer. "Then you deserve it. Helping you would be a folly." Saying this, the man went away. Author Unknown
