  1. I'd be surprised if the starting lineup didn't look like below to start the season. The rest of the rotation is more uncertain IMO. 1. Watson 2. Webster 3. Jacobsen 4. White 5. Morrow 6. Gill 7. Roby 8. McVeigh 9. Tshimanga 10. Horne 11. Fuller
  2. I don't know, Norm, but I can guarantee you that Jon Rothstein will revise his NU projection from a B10 13th place finish all the way up to a lofty 12th.
  3. Outstanding. Can't wait to see him in a red uniform for another year. Some have equaled, but I can't think of another player in our school's history that has done a better job of representing our program than Andrew White III. I see a future college coach when I watch him in post game interviews. And I hope it's at Lincoln.

  5. Meh. Other schools and the NBA don't interest me. So I'll play this "poor man's" game from a different perspective. What ex-Husker is this player most like? I think some of these comparisons work well. Others not so much. Feel free to offer better comparisons below. Watson = Brian Banks Gill < Eric Strickland Webster < Nate Johnson White = I can't think of an ex-Husker that compares to White, so, Andrew White Roby > Bill Jackman McVeigh < Eric Piatkowski Horne = Terry Smith Morrow = Claude Renfro Jacobson = Bruce Chubick Tshimanga= Carl McPipe
  6. I can understand why we don't get a lot of love, given that we finished - what - 9th and 11th the last two years and our leading scorer is gone. But I've seen two recent predictions that Minny is better than us mainly because of Coffey. I'm not seeing it.
  7. "I didn't watch Ohio State play enough before we committed" There are red flags all over that sentence when it comes from the mouth of the parent and not the player.
  8. Dow is up over 150 points today. Coincidence? I think not.
  9. Sounds about right to me. I would be surprised if he comes in and starts for us. I expect Jacobson to be our starting center. But I would expect to see Jordy getting 15+MPG from day 1. I'd be concerned if he wasn't.
  10. At 7:05AM, Chris Fisher predicted Jordy would pick the Huskers. What did he do, throw in his prediction 5 minutes after he announced? Of course that could be EDT. http://247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Jordy-Tshimanga-at-MacDuffie-School-122100/CurrentExpertPredictions
  11. So did Miles do his BOOM! tweet?
  12. I am at work and cannot view Twitter. What does this say? Jordy will be making his announcement in a few minutes. Which one will it be? @LaFoudre32 Good lord...he had 3 hats out there Thanks. Geesh. This guy is milking it for all it's worth, isn't he?
  13. I am at work and cannot view Twitter. What does this say?
  14. So do you think one of our staff members is in Vegas this weekend, watching this unfold from a safe distance?
  15. Losing Cornish to UNLV wasn't fun, but for anyone who was around in 1983, they might remember a much more painful recruiting loss when Iba lost Freddie Banks to the Rebels. Here's hoping history doesn't repeat itself. http://lasvegassun.com/news/2009/mar/09/freddie-banks-mens-basketball-1983-87/
  16. I sure hope Doane or Nebraska Wesleyan doesn't decide to offer him, because he's likely to set up visits to those places as well.
  17. IMO, the question of whether or not to offer Link would center around the following: Would offering Link sway Jordy to attend UNL? Is Link academically eligible for this Big Ten school? Is Link likely to improve or erode team chemistry? If the answer is yes to all three, it would be a no-brainer to offer Link. He might not be in the rotation either year, but it would be handy having a guy with his size and athleticism in practice and in a backup role.
  18. At least we are getting some guidance. I'm actually a little less pessimistic now.
  19. 1) When you say "family", are you talking about parents or brother or both? I haven't had a look at the premium articles out there, but all I hear of is how his older brother is handling recruiting. 2) by "good environment", I assume you mean academics, program integrity, etc. Haven't heard much of an emphasis on anything but playing time from JT's side. I grow more pessimistic about this process by the day. It almost feels our staff has out-recruited everyone else, yet it feels like we are the fallback plan for JT if all other possibilites fall through for them.
  20. Let's throw Stevie Nicks into the mix and just sing "Stop Draggin' my Heart Around"
  21. Is this a new way for him to get to prospects faster???
  22. Interesting hire because Miles indicated he wanted to center the next hire around what an assistant can offer for recruiting. So does this mean we are doubling down on recruiting Big 10 country or does this guy have a specialization in a certain part of the U.S.?
  23. Can't get anymore official than this... Great pickup. Just need Jordy now. I can't help but comment on the love Rosenthal gets for being "official". After all, this is the guy who told us Mathiang was considering Nebraska. By the looks of that now, he was working off of an urban rumor.
  24. I might have a short memory, but I can't recall a time when a recruit actually committed while on campus. Someone will probably remind me of when this has occurred.
