Northwestern is not that good. It's going to be a tough year for us. Our effort has to be worlds better Saturday if we want to win. We can't watch Indiana drive by us then converge on the ball handler and leave a wide open put back by a player. Just think a freshmen playing in his 2nd game (that was not a higher rated recruit than Morrow) scores 28 points and 12 rebounds. Our 2 freshmen score 11 points and 4 rebounds.

I thought the worst call was when Jacobsen picked up his 4th foul, when Pardon traveled and they called Jacobson for the foul. Then, on the other end Shields is driving gets hit on the arm by Northwestern players and they call a travel.

I am extrememly pissed. Not because we loss, but we just didn't have the effort, we need to win games.

Our defense sucked down the stretch, another lack of effort. If we can't keep Northwestern in front of us, we aren't going to keep many Big 10 teams in front of us.

I bet those post players are licking their chops. I sure as hell would be. Let my teammates chuck up shots while I sit down low all by myself, waiting for the ball to come to me. That's what Pardon did. It seems like he scored 18 of his 28 points doing that. It's an absolute lack of effort. I'm sorry rebounding is a lack of effort. Find a player and BOX him out. If you don't want to do it, you don't play. It's that simple.

I shudder to think of what Purdue's front line is going to look like. 30 points and 20 rebounds by all of them if that is possible.

I don't know about settling. Out of the 3 attempts, I can only think of 1 or 2, I would consider an ill advised shot.

12 assists on 15 makes. Offense has looked good. Good ball movement, getting open shots, crashing the glass. My only concern is 1 free throw attempt in the first half. Need to attack the rim, and get to the line, about the only negative offensively in the 1st half.

Much better defense. I think putting Tai on Falzon is going to help. Need to love the rim, like the 3. Northwestern is leaving us open from 3 though. If it's open let it fly.

Falzone has attempted 15 2 POINT shots all year, while shooting 76 3's. Chances are pretty good he is going to live out at the 3 point line.

I know I'm not a coach, but maybe we need to start guarding Falzone? Call me crazy in my thinking.

One key to the game is getting to the free throw line. We are 8 - 0 when we attempt more free throws than our opponent. We are 0 - 5 when we attempt fewer free throws than our opponent.

I don't think we'll see zone for awhile, unless Northwestern runs it. That should help us.

That's pretty solid. Nice upgrade from a year ago I just looked up some assists % the past few years. 2013-14 42.3% 2014-15 47.4% 2015-16 48.5% I found it interesting we keep increasing that total.

We had 17 assists on 28 made field goals.

Prairie View has 2 assists on 18 made field goals.

Hammond just air-balled a 2 foot shot according to Kent and Matt. Not good!!

Prairie View is now shooting 35.3%, and no surprise now down 29 points. We turn up the defense, and we go on a huge run.

Without not actually knowing anything for sure, I get the sense that Hammond is a guy that shows flashes of brilliance in practice but may not put in the kind of effort consistently that the coaches want or maybe just doesn't really get it all yet. That could explain the starting early in the year and hardly playing now. Miles is sick of it. All just a theory He showed flashes in Brooklyn. In fact, I thought he was ready to turn the corner. Instead, he is free falling, where he is barely getting any playing time, or finally getting in the game after 26 minutes have elapsed.

Prairie View is shooting 41.7% from the field tonight. On the season, they are the worst shooting team in the country, at 35.1%. We are shooting 40.6% from the field.
