Gophers 71-59. I think they are on a losing streak so we are doomed. -
Actually you are correct ,HB. As I now recall, I bent a wire coat hanger into a hoop shape and used that. The difficulty was decided by how much I inflated the balloon (I'll add the that's what she said for you).

I wonder if the two weeks spent in isolated dorm rooms using wadded up paper to shoot at wastebaskets will improve our marksmanship? It didn't seem to help me much in high school until I switched to balloons with a nerf hoop stuck above the closet door.

At least we are getting our bad shooters good shots. Is that good news or bad news? Would it be better to recruit good shooters and let them take bad shots? And where is KU? I think my head is exploding.

And then there is that Notre Dame poster on his basement wall... -
72% free throws is quite acceptable for someone who will get to the line quite a bit.

This year mediocre is the new good.

KC is not too bad, especially if you were only a block east of State Line. -

I am always leery when I hear the phrase "as well as could be expected", which might also be used as the motto for this season thus far. -

Games?...Games?...We don't need no stinkin' regular season games. Just pencil us in to the tourney now. -

Confirmed that he had acute myocarditis and that he had Covid during the summer. Not necessarily proof that one caused the other, however. Like many circumstances, what seems like a "cause and effect" may not be a true assumption. And it appears from Moos' latest presser that the Penn State home game Jan 30 may be a possibility for us to press the restart button. Fred seems to be doing better and Doc is not one of the 15 of the staff and players to have had the virus. (from this morning's LJS) -
I think COVID made a big move up in the standings though.

Once they realize how good he really is ...

Jimmy's aphorism for the day: Good teams find a way to win, mediocre ones find a way to lose. -

Got you beat, jayschool: I went from Kansas to Texas (El Paso) to Alabama to Arizona to Texas (San Antonio) to Maine to Kansas (Manhattan) to Nebraska (Lincoln for the past 45 years). -
I don't buy the HIPPA thing when the sports pages are filled with names of players who have tested positive or been exposed to others who have COVID almost every day. But then, I am not a lawyer and am not riddled with paranoia.
-
Why the secrecy about about the cause of the postponement? I see no rational reason to not fully explain it to the public. Why drape the situation under the shroud of silence which the league seems to demand?
