WIthin a couple hours of confirmation of Musselman leaving for USC Arkansas has apparently hired Jerome Tang from K State. Got to be one of the fasted coaching "searches" on record. Guessing they knew Musselman was leaving before today.

Mo money ?

Hate seeing Jamarques leave. He was one of my favorites on the team and always seemed like a really good kid and a good teammate. We have benefited from the portal in some cases - but really hate all the transition it creates overall and REALLY hate it when we have players leave like this. Hoping it is an April Fools joke but assume it is not.

Wow that is a surprise. Not sure why he would have not liked Wisconsin although for whatever reason I could not figure out he spent alot of time on the bench during their NCAA tournament game debacle. At times he seemed to look for his own shot a bit too much but this kid has tons of talent - without him WIsconsin would have had very little offense this season.

I watched my first Husker basketball game ...

Was too young at the time to remember my exact first game - but would have been in the late 60's in the Colisseum. Parent had season tickets. Remember watching Leroy Chalk, Tom Scantlebury and Bob Grattop in those days. Al Nissen too who is still in Lincoln I believe. -
Women matched up against Texas A&M in the first round also

Thinking Michigan State might be out ? I was wrong they got in at a 9 seed. Personally I am glad they got in and think they deserve it.

Would rather see Oregon and Dana Altman beat Creighton in round 2
-
I like Drake to beat Wash St - setting up a Drake / Iowa State match in Omaha.

I get your point - but that 1994 tournament was a magical 3 days - particularly for those of us that were there.

Play-in games (I know they don't call them that) - are the last 4 automatic bids and the last 4 at-large's right? Just wondering to confirm that NC State would not fit either of those categories. Would be pretty cruel otherwise for the NCAA to put them in a Tuesday game after playing 5 days in a row :).

uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 33- Illinois

What do you mean - Wahl clearly pushed part of his body into Edey's arm. You have to protect someone as fragile as Edey and call that foul on Wahl. -

Been a really fun season. Can't let one bad half put a damper on it. Not too high - not too low. Just regroup and take of business next week. Debating whether to even watch the game tomorrow. Both teams easy to root against - no team to root for. Only thing worse than a Wisconsin - Illinois final game would be one with Iowa. -

We are clearly tired and forcing shots each trip. -

You can definitely tell who makes 1st team All-Big 10 just by looking at who shoots the most free throws in the Big 10 tournament. Edey shot like 15 today and so has Shannon. -

Same thing Shannon does all the time and they never call it on him. -

Horribly cheap call - and 4th on Gary is a problem. Fouls now 6-1 -

Fantastic block by Brice. Would have been really great if he had hit the 3 on the other end. -

How was that not a foul on Keisei's shot? -

Is this that same crew we had last night? DJ at least is the same - how does that happen? -
Well Chucky gets a call - probably a good one though, but at least they did make a call on Purdue. Chucky has been terrific in this game.
-
Free throws in this game are 30-9 in favor of Purdue. 28 total fouls called on Wisconsin. Again - I have been kind of hoping Purdue wins but do feel like the refs have been handing it to them.

It is kind of amazing that Big 10 refs let people constantly shove, slap and even bear hug little Keisei with no calls but if you breath heavily on humungous Zach Edey they call a foul.
