Really proud of the team and the effort tonight. Another absolute gut wrenching loss that just makes me sick to my stomach and feel so bad for Brice and Juwan. Those two really deserve to get to the tournament again. Hard for me to have just watched this game and have people saying now Ohio State is in and we are out. Not sure how one of these teams gets in and the other does not - especially when you the "out" team was the road team in a double OT loss. Hate to complain about the refs too much in the posts on this thread. But the absurd flagrant foul call on Brice was just a gift of four points to Ohio States that obviously ended up being crucial. Then to have a kid slam a ball on the floor and have it bounce 15 feet in the air and not get a technical foul call is equally absurd. That is supposed to be an automatic T call - the taunting at least is one you can argue as being subjective - the ball slam is not. Finally to miss the blatant dead ball travel at the end is inexcusable. How could 3 refs not be looking at the guy taking the ball out of bounds - or not realize that on a sideline out of bounds you can't move around. There is just no way to explain those obvious mistakes by the refs. But bottom line I hope the team sucks it up and puts it to Iowa on Sunday. Brice and Juwan are all-time Husker greats and they deserve an outstanding senior day !!!

Again an absolutely obvious easy call and they don't make it. NO EXCUSE FOR THAT !!!

He had a couple big offensive rebounds toward the end of regulation. Since then Brice has taken virtually all of our shots.

Hard to have a more obvious Technical call foul than that one - and they ignore it

Most of the time I don't think Brice is selfish enough - but the last several possessions no one else has been involved at all. We need to at least have the other guys doing something other than watching Brice.

Do they really just have 8 team fouls in the whole half and OT?? Guessing we have about 18

Can't believe Brice missed the FT he has been so good from the line late in close games I thought sure he would make both of those.

Really disappointing outcome today. The run in the 2nd half was fun - but should not have been necessary. Obviously we lost this game in the first half by not coming out ready to play hard from the beginning. Morgan was obviously in the group that made the run in the 2nd half - but his first 5 minutes of play in the 1st half were about as bad of a 5 minutes as we have gotten from anyone all year. We definitely lack movement on offense but wonder how much that is due to cutters not being rewarded. There were multiple times today where cutters broke free but we never made the pass. We perhaps got spoiled by how good of post passers Walker and Mast were - but now it is completely the opposite - our post players cannot pass at all. Really frustrating to watch. I think Brice needs to be more selfish - but like most opponents Minnesota was really making him the focus of their defense. We really just don't have anyone else that is a significant offense threat - maybe Connor at times but clearly no one else. Juwan was REALLY upset after this game. Just stayed on the court and looked very emotional - at least for him. He did give great effort in the last 15 minutes and I think he really felt we needed this one (as did I). I feel bad for him because he has been a great player for us. I get why Fred left in the 5 guys were on the floor making the run - but I do think they got gassed a little bit and it may have been a good idea to at least use Berke and Rollie a little. But again I understand his decision to basically just go with 5 guys when we finally had something working. Just sick to my stomach that we lost this one. I really like Brice and Juwan in particular and want them to have another tourney trip this year at least.

Tough loss because we had lots of chances to win. Not sure I can remember going to game where both teams shot under 30%. We needed Michigan to shoot poorly and that happened - giving due credit to our defense. But also contributing to the low shooting percentages was the fact that it was an absolute free for all inside the lane. I am sure Juwan is still trying to figure out what he had to do to get a foul called on the Michigan guys shoving and hacking him when he went to the hoop. That was true to some extent both ways - but I think we also needed a quick whistle so we could get to the free throw line - and while some ticky tack fouls were called in the perimeter they basically swallowed their whistle entirely on lots of plays. Again not saying it was completely one-sided - just would have helped us I think to get a game called a little tighter. (That said I think DJ's foul call on Essegian in the first half may have been the worst call by an official I have seen all year.) We are an offensively challenged team. Brice is fantastic but we need to have someone else step up to help him and no one did that on the offensive end tonight. Berke forced things and missed when he did have good looks, Connor could not make anything obviously and the other guys who are really deficient on offense anyway all had below average offensive games even for them (other than Sam). It is critical that we not let this one beat us twice. If we come back and at least get the remaining two home wins - and maybe get at least one win in the Big 10 tourney that is hopefully enough to get us an NCAA bid.

All of which were from the free throw line (and that includes all 3 post players). 0 for ??? from the field and 3 -6 from the free throw line.

That is a shock. Thought he was doing a good job there. I am sure he will land on his feet. Think Utah will have a hard time finding someone better. Would hate having him at a Big 10 opponent.

Horrible start was a killer with all the turnovers. We were not prepared for them continuing to trap the ball after we crossed half court. Very few teams do that - but we needed to handle it better and it really created momentum for them which was a killer. We played poorly in multiple phases and did not deserve to win the game. That said the officiating was ridiculously uneven They were by far the more aggressive team defensively and for most of the first half we could not get a call no matter what they did - while we had key players in foul trouble. It wasn't that the fouls on us should not have been called but PSU was constantly reaching and grabbling and nothing was called on that end. Even if we had played well we would not have been able to win with that discrepancy in the way the game was called. If I was Fred I would have just played the walkons at the end of the bench the entire second half. But he has more composure than I do - and unfortunately under the current systems margin of victory is a factor in tourney selection so we had to play hard until the end. Just glad no one got hurt. Bottom line - forget this one. If you would have told me we would get 1 of these 2 road wins a week ago I would have been happy. So just forget how that happened and show up and play hard Monday.

Really gutsy comeback performance after everything went wrong in the second half. Brice and Juwan were struggling and frustrated - but they kept their heads in the game and found the determination to lead the comeback. Connor also really looked lost but found a way to contribute positively in the 2nd half. Meah was also a big positive at a key time given it may have been Morgan's worst Husker game. We needed this win. If we can get another one on the road Wednesday people will again start talking about seeding and not about bubbles. That said - one game at a time needs to be the mantra for the team. P.S. Maybe just a pet peeve of mine - but would be "nice" if board members could try to remember he spells his name Brice - not Bryce :)
