Nebraska 66 Kent State 58 -
I don't like the addition of Rutgers, but oh well. My additional selections would be: #15 Notre Dame (will never happen) #16 Syracuse
-
I guess that is an option. I typically like to have the tickets in hand and don't like worrying about if I am sitting in someonebody else's seat. Thanks
-
Love the optimism, but I still have the Huskers going 6-26, (0-18), 0-1

Looking for 2 tix to Wednesday night's game. Please email section, row and asking price. Live in Lincoln. Can meet in person or pay via paypal. Have my own season ticket but want a pair so I can take my dad. Thanks

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe once you enter a collegiate game, even in mop up duty, you have "burned your redshirt." I think the only way he could still get a redshirt is if there was a season ending injury or illness. I think it has to happen in the first half of the season and you can't have played more than 15-20% of your team's games. I think I remember reading about this when Toney McCray was injured.
-
Against Southern he played 1 minute, had 1 rebound and 1 foul. Against Valpo he played less than 1 minute, no stats Vucetic did not see the floor tonight. I understand he is undersized and has a lot of conditioning to do. If he is not going to redshirt, why not get him some minutes. Someone has to spell Almeida. Ubel slides down, but he is out of position. Just think getting at leat 5-10 minutes a game would be beneficial on all ends. "Omaha" is looked like the most athletic team we have faced so far this season. Surprisingly Almeida has his best game. 3/22 on 3's made this game a lot closer than it should have been. We out rebounded them by 11.

B1G to consider another round of expansion?
BjoeHusker replied to 49r's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If Maryland joins the B1G do they loose lacrosse? Not sure how thay all works. I'm guessing lacrosse is fairly independent (not arranged by conferences). If they kept lacrosse that would give them more sports than other B1G schools, correct? I still with UNL had a hockey team. I kind of like the B1G the way it is now, however expanding to the NYC and DC market makes sense. I kind of feel Rutgers would water down the league and I can't stand Maryland's football uniforms! All the important stuff. -
Oh, and I forgot, "Omaha" is now our in state rival..
-
For all you who are subjected to the BTN internet live feed of this game, Dummy #1 said that UNO wants to be referred to as "Omaha" not "UNO" So far that's abut the only think these clowns have said worth sharing.
-
Definitely playing down to our competition. And to think our next opponent, Tulane, beat this team by 24....
-
Hopefully none of you are watching the game feed on BTN.com I can't believe I paid for this! Play by play and color commentary are horrible! So far this season Ubel has averaged 19ppg, 17ppg, and 15ppg.

On the postgame show, Miles said he is hopeful Shields will be ready for Tulane

Guys, it's all about beating the traffic.... -
When you have Peltz, Parker, Gallegos, there is absolutely no reason Trevor Menke should be averaging 11.5 minutes per game. Almeida is only averaging 18.5 minutes per game (foul trouble playing a major role), however Vucetic averaging 1 minute per game is puzzling. Obviously we couldn't afford to redshirt him, however if he needs to develop as a player, get stronger, sitting on the bench won't get the job done. This is why I think it's medical
-
Miles mentioned that he was having some chest pains but everything checked out okay with the doctors. Of course this was announced prior to the Valpo game

3 Things from tonight's game

Talley's defense more than made up for his offensive struggles. He held last season's Horizon Valley Player of the Year (Ryan Broekhoff) to just 8 points on 2-11 shooting. -
Glad I was wrong
