Admittedly I only watched the first half and only a bit of the 2nd half. We must have missed all our free throws the first half because it looked pretty shaky when I was watching. Either way I'm not worried about it.

Pre season first game as a team so doesnt mean much. If it were OSU and not Peru St we lose. Saw some of the same movie poor perimeter defense, lack of communication at times, missed free throws. All things that can be fixed. Wont have long stretches going scoreless with this team. 4 guys who can have a big game scoring on any night, dont think I've seen a Husker team with this many guys who can distribute the ball, and oh baby some tremendous athletes. Clean up a few things and this team can beat anybody on any given night.

The prior regime didnt leave him with much he had 1 returning player his first year with a bunch of short term replacements cant really blame him for that since he took the job in April? Then COVID happens. Meanwhile the sport with all the resources cant even get a 5* to visit while it seems like Fred has 1 in Lincoln every other week and has already landed 1. Would it surprise anyone if he gets more in the future? I always said 18 wins I'll stick to that. 18 this year and has some talent coming back next year with more coming in. This program is in a good place. This is all we could have asked for when the hire was made.

This team looks deep just think what the season after looks like with the studs we already have committed and that's not to say Fred wont get a good transfer player too. This is beautiful I've never been this excited for Husker basketball.
