Hard to tell... did we lose that first five minute segment? -

Forty what? Rebounds? Free throws? Turnovers? -
There might be more layers. I know this is football as well, but I came across this: https://news.delta.com/airline-champions-adds-clemson-trophy-case So in 2017 Delta chartered 7 of the 8 national champions. It looks like since then, Delta has (at least) chartered 11 of the last 13 champions. Possibly 12 of 13, if someone else is able to verify LSU's charter provider. This is bad news for us, because it looks like Delta just pulled out of LNK this year entirely. Is this our new rock bottom?

Can they infuse the NyQuil into the whiskey? -
I think it's probably the Rutgers game from this season. That 30-point loss to a good, but not great, team was demoralizing. But more importantly, that's when Norm lost interest in taking the reigns and rebuilding this team. Had that game not happened, we'd be talking about Final Fours every other season for the next decade. What a shame.

Thanks for the clarification. Something seemed off, but had heard this from someone else referring to basketball. This makes sense.

...or Bill Self, before his wife talked him out of moving to Lincoln.

But how's that any different to the rest of our team?

So what happened? Googled him and couldn't find any info. https://www.1011now.com/2021/08/03/1-million-bond-set-brian-rosenthal/ -

I hate that I looked this up. If you look at a 3-year rolling average for every coach in Nebraska basketball history going back to 1896 (coaching tenure must be 3+ seasons), here's the results: Worst 3-Year Winning Percentage in Program History: 1. Adolph Lewandowski (1943-1945): 10-40 (20%) 2. Fred Hoiberg (2020-2022): 20-56 (26%) 3. Adolph Lewandowski (1942-1944): 14-36 (28%) 4. William Browne (1933-1935): 16-36 (31%) 5. Jerry Bush (1961-1963): 25-49 (34%)

But most of all, I'd like to thank Bill Moos for spending cash faster than a teenager at an arcade and running when times got tough. You've made all of this possible. -

Even if you could afford it, I don't know if it's fiscally responsible.

All do respect, truthfully... Is this not Doc Sadler? Granted a last minute scramble after Collier threw us for a loop. I do get your point. I see the side of "we have a chance to land somebody "big" so let's lock in and go all in" where we've never had that chance before in our history. We were wrong. Without going on this rant over and over again about how I feel about Moos and his spending spree, I'll just say..... Yes. Let's vet more and be more deliberate about what we expect our ROI to be on this investment.

I've said it in the game thread, but what really frustrates me, legitimately, is seeing another game matchup tonight between #4 Auburn and #24 Alabama. Both schools were a complete joke in basketball within this last decade. We started putting real money into our basketball program before these other SEC schools did. Meanwhile they're ranked, have great recruiting classes, see postseason results, and can do it with less money than we're spending for laughable results.

Yeah, I resisted being a little crass in the game thread on something. But this sentiment aligns with some of me thoughts. It's nice we kept it close in this game. But if we can't string some things together in conference play and play like this in at least 50% of our conference games, it doesn't matter how close we got in this one (or the OSU game).
