Jervay Green Suspended Indefinitely
uneblinstu replied to thrasher31's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I don't think I'd label anything as being a "for the year" decision, so many things can happen, one way or the other over the course of the season, but he definitely should be there for now. Thor has earned the opportunity. Good for him for making it hard to take him out. Or maybe I should say easy to leave him in. -
Why do you all think it's gonna be Stevenson over Walker?

It's tough to lose a game like this tonight, but I thought tonight was the first time I saw a team I could enjoy watching. So far this season, I've only been watching because their jerseys say they play for the school I cheer for. As Nebraska basketball fans we know what it looks like for a team to play hard, even if they come up short. Even if we come up short on talent, most nights, the opponent was gonna earn it. That's the foundation. They have to at least do that. They didn't do that much before tonight. There were a few games I didn't get to watch, so perhaps it happened in those games, but tonight, they played harder than Indiana for most of the night. If get the message that needs to be the calling card, they'll win some games this year. Hopefully this isn't an abberration. - Loved what we saw from Thor. I hope this lights the fire under Green when he comes back, too. - They made some big shots in some big moments. There's more talent on this roster than people think. - Burke had a great game. Cheatham came up in some big spots, too. - Thought Ouedrago showed flashes of why the coaches are so high on him. I left highly encouraged after tonight. Here's to more efforts like this one.

Yeah, it's pretty standard language for that kind of a situation. -

There's one obvious possibility. And he's had issues with it in the past. -
I wonder if they're friends...

I don't think it was a deal where Moos explicitly said "you're done at the end of the year" as much as it was just adding all the things up, there was only one conclusion to draw. If they'd continued the trajectory they were on after the win at Indiana, Miles wouldn't be recording podcast these days.

I do think the Elam Ending would be intriguing. If I could sign CBB up for a month trial with no commitment as long as I remembered to cancel my payment by the deadline, I'd do it.

Does it make me a bad person if ...
uneblinstu replied to jayschool's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Because while a lot of those players may return, we're also adding new players to the mix and some significant ones in our area of glaring area of weakness. And we're also not done recruiting. With two open spots, I have hope they'll be able to fill those spots with players they didn't have to scramble to get just to have a full-ish roster. -
Not counting some of their games they've played overseas, yes it is.

If that is what his message was and everyone else interpreted it a different way, that would indicate to me he didn't make his point very well. -
I don't really have a ton to say about this one, so just a few thoughts: - I think a lot of this squad got a serious education today. Many have never been in anything like that they saw today. But this game felt very familiar, at least the start. - It's all well and good that they came out and played better in the second half, but they gotta figure out how to do that at the start of games, too. When they figure that part out, they'll start being more competitive vs. teams at this level. And a note: KP said on the radio broadcast that Porter and Piatkowski are redshirting this year. That's why you didn't see them at the end of the game.

2019 JUCO SF Teddy Allen - WNCC - Signed
uneblinstu replied to basketballjones's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
If Teddy Allen gets another chance and takes advantage of it, it'll be one heckuva story. He ended up at Boys Town, which almost always means there was some sort of significant trauma growing up. That can affect someone in a lot of different ways. I'd imagine there would have to be a pretty rigid plan in place for him if he were to come here. He's got talent, for sure. -
