My wife just found out how much the buyout is. she had to same reaction everyone else had. She also suggested Fred reimburse all the ticket holders himself.

That's more complicated of an answer than I'd like it to be. I wan't trying to look for an answer because I don't think there's one out there yet that would definitely get us to renew next year.. They made it clear they're going to scrutinize everything, from team performance, to fan experience, to affordability. Given what life looks like right now, we can't make it to all the games and if we can't get rid of our tickets (either by giving them away or reselling them) then we can't afford to just eat them either. Maybe someday we'll have that kind of money, but we don't right now.

Eh, sure, but he also had kids in high school and from what I hear, he lives as close to PBA as he does the Qwest Center or whatever it's called now...

I'd guess it started back in December. Maybe after the Western Illinois game...

I don't think you'll have a problem with that whether he returns or not...

Creighton to Nebraska would be a pretty significant step down in terms of the job itself. The pay may be a step up, though...

Didn't ask anything. Just felt compelled to let him know it was going to be all but impossible to justify tickets next season.

I have this question, too...though I think that if he's interested, he'd be a top candidate.

The other name they mentioned that isn't already in this thread was Kim English. Currently at George Mason. You probably remember him from his days at Mizzou. Also speculated that this could be the first hire that would be an African-American in NU sports history.

He'd be the most accomplished coach to ever take the job here. I think people would be just fine with it. It'd make that game each year way more spicy, that's for sure

I think he’s going to be very good too, it I think he played too m up this year to get it back. I believe he’ll be a sophomore next year

The central Florida and Kansas losses were killer for that team. Miles knew it at the time, too. Flip those two games and the whole story changes

There are pieces that would fit the bill of what we would want to stick around. Several of them. Not all of them. I’ve definitely seen players learn what kind of effort is required for the daily grind over time. That can come for some of the time young pups.

Doesn’t need to be a complete overhaul. There do need to be mentality changes and a few glaring holes/needs on the roster need to be filled and filled well. There are players on the roster that can grow over time and contribute to a winner.

I think it'll be attempted... I'm guessing there's a lot going on behind the scenes to try and sort this all out.

32 days til the big ten tournament starts. Will be very curious to see what happens 33 days from now.

It’s the under 4 timeout. I’m going home. In a season full of disappointment, disheartening results, baffling play and embarrassing effort, this one may just take the cake.
