  1. And Penn St.
  2. No Christmas theme after all...
  3. Also, I watched the 2nd half of the Iowa/Indiana game. They were pretty bad. That made me feel a little better.
  4. I doubt it. I don't think anybody watched that game.
  5. I'm not quite convinced of that. I'd take it though.
  6. Hint: it's none of those guys. Fun convo, though.
  7. Nah, I'm good. I'll stick with my frozen pizza or guac. No need to punish ourselves more than we already have over the past couple decades.
  8. So, I'm sitting here watching Indiana and Iowa and this is a decently important game, it's close and the Iowa crowd is pretty Devaney-esque. Just nothing but a handful of students making a little noise. Seriously, PBA blows this place out of the water.
  9. I still think NU (us) has to win the conf. tourney to get in. If they win out and get to the conference finals, they'll have a shot at the play in game. That's just my opinion.
  10. What I'm not thrilled with re: Illinois is that they had a home game tonight and don't play again until Sunday. That's two extra days rest before playing us. Now terribly thrilled by that. But everyone deals with that at some point in their schedule.
  11. I want Northwestern to make it. I'd be a great story. I'd love it if they played late on Friday. That way, NU, our NU, after they go on a big run and win the Big Ten Tournament, will play on Thursday or early on Friday, win that game and get the win before NW does. Then we'll get what we want and can still have that nice NW story to cheer for. Best outcome for all parties, I think.
  12. Color on color! Green vs. Red. Merry Christmas!

Rutgers (2 - 16) If you want to get Purdue to get off the #1 line, cheer for Penn St. or Indiana when they play them.
  14. Looks like the last 5 conference win season was 75-76. There were a number of 4 wins seasons the last 25 years of the 20th century.
  15. 98-99 was the last time they won 4 conference road games.
  16. Sure, but anytime you get in a situation where a loss means the end of your season is good experience. I'd like to see them do it if they can't get in the NIT (or better...).
  17. 3. It's the third time he's done that. That's the same number that Barry and Doc did it combined. Haven't won 4 conference road games this century. Didn't go back further than that. Would be curious what the last time they won 4 or dare I say 5?
  18. Probably need Northwestern to lose out for that to happen. Looking at their schedule, it's not entirely out of the realm, but it think it's unlikely...
  19. There's so much to say about this one! - Glynn probably got screwed on those two fouls to start the 2nd half. But man, he came up huge down the stretch. Was quite a bit of sweet justice that he hit that shot at the end. Both in terms of what he had called against him today and the role he played at the end of the game in Lincoln. Man, that had to feel great. - Jack got a lot of bad feelings thrown his way during his struggles in the middle of the season, but he's currently shooting better this year than he did last year. - Ed had some big time play today. A few fouly, but otherwise, he brought it tonight. - Tai carried this team early. He's fighting something, but he's battling right now. - Jordy didn't play well tonight but I would still like to see him play more down the stretch. - When Loving hit that 3, I thought there was no chance... - Today's officials... - Fuller with some quality minutes. - Just a big time win. Moves them into a tie for 8th. With Eron Harris going down, I'll be curious what MSU's mental status is. - Man, what a big win. So huge.
  20. Of course, everybody's hoping for that. But at some point you have to consider it if it's an option. That's not a defeatist attitude. It's just where they're at right now.
  21. Meh, I don't know that the practices will be that impactful. It's not like a bowl scenario, they're not gonna get that much practice time. I think anytime you can play in a postseason tournament there's value. It's different than regular season ball.
  22. GET JOBU A BUCKET OF CHICKEN!
  23. @Blindcheck I like #3. Personally, I think most of the time when a player dives into try and create a tie up it's a foul not a jump ball. I'd actually like to see that discouraged. Call the foul there. That's a place where some of the most physical action takes place and the player diving onto the pile rarely actually achieves possession of the ball.
  24. I've heard that idea postured before and Coach Mo mentioned it on the radio the other night. I have no problem with an extra foul if you go to OT. I've never heard anyone say that if a player fouls out that they would get to re-enter, though. If you foul out in regulation, you're done.
  25. Ya know, that was pretty fun. - Jordy! Jordy! Jordy! He's undergone a complete metamorphosis over the course of the season. - I don't think PSU played a very disciplined game, but this was as good as NU played all year. - Roby is finding his footing, too. And that's a blast to watch. I hope his ankle isn't too bad. That would be a real shame. - But seriously, just about everyone played well. - Someone break down the walk-ons performances. - How about that half court shot before half! PSU was threatening to get back in the game right before half and Jack just ripped it right back. - That ref that called that weak, pathetic foul on Evan in the first half didn't call anything against PSU the whole game. I'm fairly sure I'm right about that. It was almost comical. I mean, I don't even know what else to say. I don't know how to handle wins like this. I'm just gonna call it a night and revel in the funness of what we just watched! Happy Nebrasketines Day!
