What in the hell happened to Anderson and Matthews. Both hitting in the .250s and combined are producing less runs than like 2 dozen individuals in the conference. Our entire lineup looks lost against off-speed stuff. Really disappointing to say the least.

The Adidas fan gear is freaking awful. They put out cool stuff for the coaches and players from time to time, but its never available to the fans. I see script huskers, script nebraska, basketball Herbie, baseball Herbie, golf Herbie - all being worn by athletes and coaches - and without fail, I can never find the gear online. Must be allergic to money.

You just took me down a rabbit hole. I recall his ad in the paper where he complained we were outspent by the entire B1G and Creighton. Happy to report we now outspend Creighton and every B1G Team except: Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan St.

I've thought about that today during the Iowa/CU woman's game as well. 8 FTs to 8 FTs when Iowa started to foul late, so not like it was a one-sided foul show. Iowa coach after the game says there wasn't enough fouls called, they didn't shoot enough FTs. Thought back at the game, seemed like they spent a lot of time pleading for calls, almost like they were more worried about trying to draw a foul, where CU was more focused on scoring. It does seem like the B1G darlings get babied for the entire regular season, then don't know what the hell to do when they aren't getting bailed out.

His dad is in Lincoln right? Wouldn't a huge stretch for him to want to be around family and take a couple years off from being the head man.

This is just the guy that appreciates college basketball in me, but what a gutsy win by Creighton. That's a team down their top ball handler that had no business being in the tournament with that roster, then lose their best player/big down in OT and they win a tournament game. Fuck em, but let's call a spade a shovel.

UCLA hasn't shot well, but goodness has Akron put the clamps down. That is a well coached bunch. Can't believe Groce didn't have more success at Illinois.

Things outside our control pretty much cost us. We had 0 quad 1 conf games at home, and we were really good at home. For comparison Rutgers had 7 quad 1 conf games in Piscataway this year. Makes it way easier to stack good wins.

Michigan RPI wasn't high enough to be a quad 1 win. You can argue the usefulness of the metrics, but NET/RPI is a huge factor for the committee and it sunk us that year.

Can confirm, Matt's wife pops up, but not Matt. Everyone else is there, down to Buzzy Caruthers.

The resume difference is pretty crazy. Rutgers had bad loses, we didn't. But, Rutgers 6-6 against quad 1, we were 0-9. Rutgers beat 8 NCAA teams, we beat 1. I don't think a team that's 0-fer in Quad 1 games is getting an at-large, ever.

That'd create some buzz.

Worst RPI/NET since the metrics were developed (30 years I think?). MSU had a NET of 76 last year.

The Rutgers v Oklahoma comparison is pretty crazy. Rutgers with more high end wins, but Oklahoma has their fair share. Rutgers 9-10 vs Quad 1/2. Oklahoma 10-14 vs Quad 1/2. Rutgers 3 bad loses to Oklahoma's 1. Oklahoma 28 spots higher in the NET.

I’m shocked they got in with those metrics, the ncaa’s very own NET had them 20 ticks below other bubble teams. But big wins trump all and Rutgers had many of those.

Rutgers is probably the most interesting one. Good wins but their metrics are god awful. The committee has an easy out with them, just say we didn't want to make history by setting a new low bar for RPI/NET by a tournament team.

Watching Creighton, watching A&M, watching Va Tech....why can't we have one god damn special season. I'm in my early 30s, followed Nebraska for like 20 years now. 13-14 will always hold a place in my heart, but we blew a 18 pt lead in our only B1G tournament game, then we never sniffed Baylor. That's my one season. Is one decent March run in a quarter of a century too much to ask?!

Deep Breath……Creighton has been impressive as hell without the conf freshman of the year. That hurt.
