I’m going to keep doubting this team! The more I doubt, the more they defy me! -

Wouldn’t mind Memphis. Kind of a crap hole but their food is unreal. Should we win our first NCAA tourney game, I’ll shut down Beale Street and drink them out of Busch Light.

Nebraska (7-1) vs. Minnesota (5-3) Game Thread
Busch Light replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
After my meltdown last night, I feel surprisingly refreshed. Maybe it’s the entire pot of coffee. I don’t think I can truly emotionally and financially invest in Nebraska basketball anymore. There’s just too many poor decisions and incompetence. If the athletic department doesn’t care enough, I have a hard time finding the effort to really care either, at least at the level I currently do. The amount of season tickets I purchase, the donations, and the time commitment to drive from Omaha to Lincoln for home games is just too much from what I am getting in return. I’ll always be a fan, I’ll always tune in and cheer no matter how bad we are. I think I’m just going to get nosebleeds next year and not donate anymore. I’ll still make it to a few games. Hopefully someone else can enjoy our seats. It’s not like I give that much money, I doubt they will even miss it. I still believe this team can be pretty good. Hoping to get back on track and get these things figured out. There is some talent if we can get it to gel. I’ll be there Sunday at 5:30 hoping we can get right. Even if it doesn’t work out for Fred here, he’s an excellent human being and he coaches for the right reasons. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, just a great person. If Nebraska makes the decision to keep rolling with Fred, I’ll come to terms with it because of his character. -
Is Hoiberg the coach of this team next year?
Busch Light replied to huskerbill85's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Exactly. He has a history of making poor decisions. He retained Frost and let Kalen DeBoer go and it was a such a bad decision he had to fire Frost after like three games. If Rhule works out though I would say he redeemed himself. Firing Hoiberg was a no-brainer. Historically bad coach at a historically bad basketball school. But hey, let’s bump him up to his old salary and let it fly. -

Because that’s what Trev does. Hoiberg will probably get another raise and we will enjoy another season of the Zooperstars and students from opposing teams sitting front row at our arena. -

Hard to know. Trev loves bringing back historically bad coaches. -

Ditto on Trev and the athletic department. I don’t want to trash them, but they really don’t look like they care a whole lot about the men’s basketball program. Between that and the halftime entertainment, it was a bad look. If you’re going to run it back with a historically bad coach, one would think you would be a little more concerned with the optics and the product. This is a red letter game, why wouldn’t they have better halftime entertainment? I mean we aren’t playing at the Bob anymore. At least try to look like you care. We packed the house and created a great environment, stop taking the fans for granted. They may not always be there. Care more. Just my two cents. Go beat Minnesota.
