  1. Seems really fluid. If he's able to make a contribution and we need him and it's the start of February, he might pull the trigger considering he did get that extra year.
  2. Fred talked about that on Monday and said he's still progressing. They were looking to ramp up after Christmas and talked about needing him for Big 10 play though he did say that a redshirt was still in play. Talk about a medical redshirt at this point are completely premature because he hasn't taken his regular redshirt and you can't get a medical redshirt playing your under 30% of games at the end of the season.
  3. Auto-correct for sure

He's much better taking to the rim as he's a fairly poor 3pt shooter. Offers some rim protection. Player to watch: Trevsen Eaglestaff Another sophomore, Eaglestaff is easily the best 3pt shooter on the team, currently shooting 38.7% on the year. Tends to set up on the left side of the court and has a quick release. Player to watch: Tyree Ihenacho 6'4 PG Tyree Ihenacho has an interesting backstory as he started his college career earning Freshman of the year honors at North Dakota. He ended up transferring to James Madison where he had a couple of decent seasons. He decided to transfer back to North Dakota and was in the middle of sitting out for the season before the NCAA lost a court case about multiple transfers and decided to play. This will be his 2nd game back and it wouldn't be surprising to see him get the starting nod at PG. Ihenacho is probably the flashiest passer on the team but tends to be turnover prone. His shooting is spotty. Others to watch Juco transfer Amar Kuljuhovic is the team's leading rebounder and is shooting 67.3% on the season from the floor. Tsotne Tsartsidze is a 4/5 who will shoot at a decent clip from the outside. Deng Mayar is a skinny JUCO post who rebounds well but hasn't been scoring much. Iowa St transfer Eli King is starting at PG but he's been just plain bad shooting the ball this season. Elijah Brooks at SG brings dribble drive ability. Brady Danielson is a glue guy for the Fighting Hawks. The Skinny: Nebraska looks to head into Christmas break on a 3 game winning streak in a potential trap game against North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks' style of taking away the 3 is similar to both the Creighton and Minnesota squads responsible for Nebraska's only two loses. I'm interested to see how many 3pt attempts Keisei has in this game given this type of defense tends to limit him but it doesn't have B1G level defenders. Feels like Nebraska should be able to get the FT line in this one. The Hawks will probably take a bunch of 3s and probably won't make a ton of them but some times the shots fall. As long as Nebraska can control the paint, they'll likely be ok. I think Nebraska will try and work in Boogie, Rice, and Diop in the first half if possible in this one. Prediction: Nebraska 77 - North Dakota 64
  5. No Burt for Christmas Sam is going to have the play 25 minutes and if we are winning big go back out with the walk-ons
  6. Thanks, I know I had at least one draft where I'd changed that last night
  7. He would have spent most of it regretting he hadn't left a dumpster fire
  8. Very hard to sneak a 6'10" Dutch man into an OR these days
  9. Do the Knicks know how good he is?
  10. Matt A's recruits were forced out because they were bad on and/or off the court.
  11. Link to the ESPN+ video of this game in case I need it and don't want to search through ESPN+ for 20 minutes https://www.espn.com/espnplus/player/_/id/1e5ba783-7c4a-49b6-8623-8f9274480013#bucketId=3
  12. He played 36 minutes and didn't come out until 40 seconds were left when he certainly could have come out sooner since the game was well in hand. However he did wear a knee brace that he wasn't wearing vs Michigan St so there certainly is something going on. With that information I suspect we're going to put him on ice until after Christmas and re-evaluate. We'll have 9 days until a very winnable game against SC State and 14 days until the start of conference play vs Indiana at home.
  13. Was reminded why Danny was such a great recruiter as he filibustered Fred on the Fred Hoiberg show.

  15. Kansas St Info Head Coach: Jerome Tang (2nd Season) Location: Manhattan, KS Conference: Big 12 Nickname: Wildcats Mascot: Willie the Wildcat Line: Kansas St by 5.5 Typical Rotation Depth: 8 KenPom rank: 46 Nota bene: This is the last game in the 3 game series vs KSU. KSU won at Nebraska and in KC. Reink Mast was teammates this summer with David N'Guessan for the Dutch team this summer The unofficial nickname for Bramlage Coliseum is the "Octagon of Doom" Center Nae’Qwan Tomlin transferred after being dismissed from the team. Went for 15 pts and 7 rebs vs Nebraska last season. With CJ Wilcher, Nebraska boasts 5 college graduates on the roster including Josiah Allick, Jarron Coleman, Rienk Mast and Brice Williams. KenPom most used lineups PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 2 Tylor Perry 5-11 180 Sr 5 Cam Carter 6-3 195 Jr 24 Arthur Kaluma 6-7 225 Jr 1 David N'Guessan 6-9 220 Sr 13 Will McNair 6-11 265 Sr 21.3 2 2 Tylor Perry 5-11 180 Sr 4 Dai Dai Ames 6-1 185 Fr 5 Cam Carter 6-3 195 Jr 24 Arthur Kaluma 6-7 225 Jr 1 David N'Guessan 6-9 220 Sr 13.3 Player to watch: Tylor Perry The 5th year senior PG transferred from North Texas where he was a highly effective 3 level scorer. Perry has struggled from 3 this season, shooting 32.2% this season Player to watch: Cam Carter KSU has asked Carter to pick up the scoring load this season and he's currently leading the team at 16.9 ppg. Carter isn't a very efficient from the 3pt line. Player to watch: Arthur Kaluma A familiar name here as Kaluma transferred from Creighton. In 2 games vs Nebraska he's scored 6 points but expect better from him in this game as his shot is falling much more consistently this season. Others to watch David N'Guessan and Will McNair are affective inside scorers but don't offer a threat from outside. Fr PG Dai Dai Ames has struggled to score this season. Soph Jerrell Colbert is depth in the frontcourt. Fr SG RJ Jones is depth in the backcourt. UNL Game Notes Roster/infirmary report Out indefinitely 5 Ahron Ulis 6-3 190 lbs Junior - Likely out for the season 15 Blaise Keita 6-11 257 lbs Junior - Ongoing ankle injury recovery Possible starters for Nebraska 10 Jamarques Lawrence 6-3 183 lbs Sophomore 30 Keisei Tominaga 6-2 179 lbs Senior 3 Brice Williams 6-7 213 lbs Junior 53 Josiah Allick 6-8 231 lbs Senior 51 Rienk Mast 6-10 248 lbs Junior Bench 4 Juwan Gary 6-6 221 lbs Junior 0 C.J. With all due respect to the 3000 or so people up in Minneapolis, this will easily be the roughest environment this team will have experienced thus far. We shall see how they handle it. Despite their lack of depth I don't think Nebraska wants to get into a running game with Kansas St considering the juice at home, the 9 days off they had, and most importantly Kansas St embraces a 'Helter-Skelter' style of basketball. At points the Wildcats will carelessly turn the ball over but they'll also generate second chance points on offense and pressure some steals on defense. Execution, not pace, will be key for Nebraska. You might see points where the whole team holds back on defense to secure a rebound in lieu of transition. As far as opponents go, this one plays a style beneficial to Nebraska. Offensively they tend to take more 3s but don't hit them at a high rate. Defensively, Nebraska will get looks from 3 should be able to spread the Cats out. Can Nebraska play another complete game? Can they play on their terms? Prediction: Kansas St 74 - Nebraska 69
  16. Forget A.J. Lewandowski. Fred recently passed L.F. Klein's 35% winning percentage and has T.J. Hewiat's 37.5% and Jerry Bush's 38% in his sights.
  17. Disagree with this 'everyone hates Nebraska' paranoia. There is some value to killing our next two opponents as opposed to just beating them soundly but if I had to choose between beatdown and getting minutes for Rice, Matar, and Boogie because we might need them when we play in conference I'm choosing the latter.
  18. If we match our current projections and win 20 games, yeah
  19. The super fun part about Kevin Cross is that I assume he was run off because he was a Doc recruit and not a Matt A recruit. If someone knows differently, feel free to correct me.
  20. To simply, were currently on the cusp of being in the Tier that comes after the Purdue tier https://barttorvik.com/team-maps.php?year=2024
  21. Second hand Danny story: Heard that Danny ended up talking to Tim on the phone at some point and brought up Miles hiring him as an assistant but did so in such a Danny Nee way that Tim didn't want Danny put through to him any more.
