  1. Sometimes people are just trying to add context as opposed to trying to be right
  2. They started 3 times together this season prior to this game
  3. Starting big Brice Hoiberg Gary Berke B Morgan
  4. Meah is in, Gavin is questionable
  5. 77-208 from 3 (37%) at D-2 Tampa
  6. Nebraska 84 - Arizona St 70 4 BIG ONES
  7. that's how much belief I have in these guys wanting to win this game
  8. We missed our shot hiring whoever was the coach at Creighton when they were a MVC school. It's not a shock that the best basketball coach we ever hired was likely Connie Yori.
  9. Should we be in the market for a new coach one day we could do worse than hiring whoever is currently coaching Drake.
  10. I needed to schedule this further in the future as I haven't finished yet
  11. Nebraska Cornhuskers (17-14) vs Arizona St (13-19) Date: Monday Mar. 31st, 2025 Time: 7:30 am CST Arena: MGM Grand Garden Arena Broadcast: FS1 (Kevin Kugler, Robbie Hummel and Kim Adams) Arizona St Info Head Coach: Bobby Hurley (15th year) Location: Tempe, Arizona Conference: Big 12 Nickname: Sun Devils Mascot: Sparky the Sun Devil Line: Nebraska by 5.5 Typical Rotation Depth: 7+ KenPom rank: 73 Nota bene: This is the 8th matchup all-time between Nebraska and Arizona St and their first meeting since 2008. ASU leads the series 4-3 with the home teams winning the previous 7 meetings. This is the first neutral court matchup. ASU will be without at least 3 key pieces from this season. Starting senior forward BJ Freeman was kicked off the team in February and freshman 5 star wing Joson Sanon has hit the transfer portal, already signing with St Johns. Last but certainly not least, freshman phenom Jayden Quaintance is out with a knee injury. ASU has only 7 available scholarship players. Both coaches have sons on the team in Sam Hoiberg and Bobby Hurley III. There is a new rule in place where the coach is the one who has control to challenge who the ball is off of in the last 2 minutes. The last time Braxton Meah played against Arizona St, he went off for 13 points and 14 rebounds in an OT win Player to watch: Alston Mason Jr. The combo guard transfer form Missouri St. has blossomed at Arizona St under Bobby Hurley and is the current leader in scoring and assists. Is shooting a career high 38.2% from 3. Alton Mason Sr was class of '96 at Lincoln Northeast and also played collegiately at ASU. Player to watch: Adam Miller There must be something in the water in Tempe this season as like Alston Mason, Adam Miller is shooting way above his career average. The one-time Illinois and LSU player is shooting a ridiculous 44.4% from 3 this season. Jihad however has been a monster driving, getting to the FT line as much as Brice Williams. 7' center Shawn Phillips is a shot blocker and rebounder though extremely foul prone. Freshman Forward Amier Ali has been serviceable at the forward position. With guard Austin Nunez lost for the season after 4 games, 2025 commit Trevor Best joined the team mid-season. When thrust into action, Best exploded for 18 points vs BYU when put into the rotation and has made 3s. After this, you're looking at walk-on Bobby Hurley III et al on this very shallow bench. This is a team that could use Jeffrey Grace. Nebraska will be without Rollie Worster and perhaps Braxton Meah. Opponent Arizona St seems barely able to field a team. For most of the season the Sun Devils have wanted to run and with this depleted roster that's just fine. If ASU wins this game, it's likely going to be due to their 3pt shooting as they still have guards who can fire it up. It's possible that the Sun Devils can live at the FT line, but generally Nebraska has been solid about keeping teams off the line. Nebraska should have the advantage on both side on the boards against the Sun Devils and if they can commit to driving inside we all might get to find out about various ASU walk-ons. ASU only had 2 rim protectors, the injured Quaintance and foul prone Shawn Phillips. Feels like Nebraska wants to win this thing and Arizona St will probably be texting guys in the portal during the game. Would almost be a shock if Nebraska blew this game but after this season we're still trying to figure out this team. Prediction: Nebraska 84 - Arizona St 70 View full article

  13. Gavin came here and played significantly less than he did at Rutgers as a true freshman. We're going to recruit over the top of him. Not exactly surprising that he's going to move on. That being said with us having potentially 2 guys out there is a chance he gets some playing time. If so hopefully it can be mutually beneficial
  14. From UNL One change from the regular season in place for both the Crown and the NIT is the use of an experimental rule which will allow a coach to appeal out-of-bounds calls for video replay review in the last two minutes of games. The experimental rule would eliminate the official's voluntary ability to review out-of-bounds calls on the floor in the last two minutes of the game. Instead, these calls for a video review would be tied to the timeouts a team has remaining. If a team appeals the call and it is overturned, the team making the appeal would retain the timeout. If the review fails, the team making the appeal would lose a timeout. If no timeouts remain, coaches could still appeal, but if the appeal fails, they would be assessed an excessive timeout administrative technical, meaning their opponents would shoot two free throws and maintain possession of the ball.
  15. We either need to be a team that has 3 Meahs or 0 Meahs though from this season we're obviously a 0 Meah team.
  16. Looks like Wisconsin signed Daniel Freitag, 3-4 star PG, after missing out on Janowski. Freitag played 27 minutes in mop up time this season. It looks like walk-on Jack Janicki earned more playing time. Hope that Jano is good enough to at least enter the rotation next season.
  17. Creighton just signed Owen Freeman so if he stayed at Creighton he'd spend his last year being a decent center sitting on the bench because the guy in front of him is notably better. He basically screwed himself coming back to Creighton this season because he would have been a 30 minute a game mid-major center who would have gotten paid his last seaosn.
  18. Dannen said last night on Sports Nightly that they were looking to replace just the center of the court during the season to put the state outline back out there. Since it wouldn't have been ready to go until February they didn't pull the trigger.
  19. Feels like Todd Lickliter's inability to win games was more of a factor than his pace. At least we aren't the only school to ever hire a Butler coach and be disappointed.
  20. Todd Jr was Koa's brother.
  21. We're so going to offer him
