  1. McGowens makes all his FTs and he's have Ty Lue's record already
  2. Andre playing some solid minutes on defense tonight
  3. Keisei has been pretty bad tonight, just such a bad matchup
  4. There is no Alonzo Verge FUCK THIS I'M GONNA GET US A BUCKET tonight. It was Wilcher making a nice lob to Walker to stop the run
  5. the stuff they fill up balloons with when they don't wan them to float
  6. Lat might be a first team all-american if we played all games at home vs Rutgers
  7. We're going to see a lot more Keisei I think as he's been the odd man out with Trey back
  8. guys, walk the line in this thread
  9. It was going to be super easy to bring the entire family to the game for the first time in few years so that's a bummer. I'll be cleared by Northwestern next Saturday so we'll see if that works.
  10. I'm also out again for this one
  11. If you want to cherry pick out the 3 game slump for CJ Wilcher during which he was reportedly sick he's shooting 44% in the rest of the games this year. I really do think that him and Keisei are 40% shooters when they take good shots.
  12. I completely disagree about the coaching. Assume your premise about our roster lacking in talent is correct. A coach that valued winning over style would run a slow methodical offense and put more focus on making sure we have our team defense down.
  13. At this point you're either vaccinated or you're not by choice and time has shown that has always been the case. It can be difficult but it's entirely possible to discuss what is in a vacuum a non-political issue in such a manner.
  14. Generally, what Herbie is doing with his hands is arbitrary. If you're an university, you want him doing something benign and mostly meaningless because you don't need nor want his hands to matter. Herbie making a peace sign or a fist or raising all his fingers in a salute with his arm up like that until recently were probably more open to interpretation than an ok sign. That's no longer the case and that's just the lousy reality we sometimes live in. Having Herbie with a finger up in the air that signals '#1' universally at this time is one of the least benign things you can do without rearranging his arm. Our goofy looking overalls man lives on to hold footballs and twirl basketballs, which is the important thing at least to me. This isn't the first time the university has had to be concerned about their brand being co-opted as it was popular among gangs in Los Angeles 10-20 years ago and likely won't be the last.
  15. The problem isn't his exactly his individual recruiting; it's that I don't think he can exist in a role where he doesn't fully control recruiting and I don't know how you walk that back other than to replace him.
  16. Rutgers Info Head Coach: Steve Pikiell Location: Piscataway, NJ Conference: B1G Nickname: Scarlet Knights Last time out: Lost to Maryland Line: Rutgers by 1.5 Typical Rotation Depth: 7+ KenPom rank: 100 Other Nebraska's last conference win was vs Rutgers in 2021. Lat Mayen had a career day with 25 points. Last time vs Nebraska, Ron Harper led Rutgers to a season high 93 points Player to watch: Ron Harper Rutgers' leading scorer is a load at 6'6" 245. Harper is shooting over 43% from three thus far and is second on the team in rebounds. Nebraska had no answer for him in Piscataway. Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford The Rest of the Roster Clifford Omoruyi has expanded into his role as starting center with Myles Johnson transferring, leading the team in rebounds and scoring in double digits. Paul Mulcahy is a secondary ball handler and can get hot from outside. McConnell has struggled on offense but the defensively talented forward will probably guard Bryce McGowens. The Scarlett Knights are 14th in the conference at getting to the FT line, so the fouls were fluky. Rutgers' outside shooting unfortunately is for real as the Knights are shooting 40.7% from outside during conference play. While Rutgers has shot well, it's been real inconsistent which has been their MO this entire season. Nebraska needs to jump out on Rutgers and there is a decent chance it could happen. With Trey McGowens and Nebraska's improved outside shooting, you have to like their chances at home. Prediction: Nebraska 72 - Rutgers 68

  18. How much control did he have at St Johns and was that an unwritten condition for signing with us?
  19. His first career double digit scoring game was his Junior year at Hawaii. His lack of scoring stemmed mainly from a lack of shooting.
  20. We are sitting at a season high 30.00% from 3 for the season
