It could simply be a NIL comparison for some guys but all schools offer NIL just like all schools offer facilities or conference prestige or geographic location or style of play or brand afflation or whatever. I suppose that NIL is more a factor for this height of player because they're aren't nearly as many. At the end of the day it's relationship with the coaching staff and fit. Money is nice but most guys want to go into a situation where they feel comfortable/set up to succeed. I wouldn't say I've talked to a ton of recruits but the ones I have it's almost always about the assistant recruiting them.

The teams in this tournament were/are trying to qualify for a shot to make the Olympics. A few of the countries have multiple NBA players. Everyone else are either European pros or college players. Netherlands had 4 college guys.

When the Omaha to Fremont area flooded a few years back people asked me if I was ok in Lincoln. Lincoln did have some potential issues with water because it's pumped in from Ashland but otherwise it was business as normal. Tokyo isn't really mentioned in these reports so I'd assume that geographically it's far enough away that it's relatively unaffected.

Coleman, a 6-5, 210-pound guard from Indianapolis, Ind., has started 86 games and totaled more than 1,100 points, 325 assists and 450 rebounds in his college career, which includes stints at Ball State and Missouri. Coleman joins the Huskers after graduating from Ball State in late July and will have one year of eligibility remaining. Nebraska Head Coach Fred Hoiberg said that Coleman’s combination of size, experience and passing ability provides the Huskers with another versatile backcourt performer. “We are pleased to be able to add Jarron to our roster,” Hoiberg said. “He is a big point guard who has a very high basketball IQ. His skillset meshes well with the other players on our roster. He led his team in 3-pointers each of the last two seasons (2022-23 at Ball State and 2021-22 at Missouri) and was one of the best players in the Mid-American Conference last season.
