  1. Brice might have been forcing things but his 15 points on 9 shots wouldn't qualify as inefficient.
  2. The kicker here is that we have 3 games next week
  3. He came off a bit wooden so relative to Danny Nee he came off as petrified wood. Too bad we didn't hire him as our basketball AD instead because he certainly knew who to hire.
  4. Florida A&M Head Coach: Robert McCullum (7th year) Location: Tallahassee, Florida Conference: SWAC Nickname: Rattlers Mascot: Venom the Rattlesnake Last time out: Lost to Creighton 105-54 Shirts/shoes not to wear: Green, Orange, Rattlesnake Boots Opening Line: Nebraska by 25.5 Nota bene: Nebraska is 2-0 all time vs the Rattlers, having faced them in 1993 and 2009. The teams were supposed to play Dec 6, 2020 but the game was cancelled due to Covid-19. Famous alumni include Andre Dawson and Bob Hayes After playing two Nebraska teams, FAMU will play Iowa and Iowa St in mid-December Player to watch: K'Jei Parker On a team that is mostly Juniors and Seniors, true freshman Parker played a team high 37 minutes, scoring 12 points on 16 shots, including 14 mid-range jumpers! Parker is supposed to be splitting time with all-name teammate Love Bettis, but Bettis didn't play in the first game. Player to watch: Keith Lamar 6'6" Stenson transfer led the team with 16 points as one of the few Rattlers that could get to the rim and finish. Others to watch Shanon Grant - The 6'10" 285 transfer center from Mercer will give the Nebraska frontcourt literally and metaphorically a bigger test than anything that Lindenwood had to offer though 0! rebounds in 20 minutes of play Roderick Coffee - Odds on favorite for a student led "WE WANT COFFEE" chant at the end of this one. The Huskers look to build on that start against a Florida A&M team that looked every bit like a team picked to finish 11th in the SWAC on Tuesday. The Rattlers have assembled a team with length at most positions that might give the Nebraska offense more of a challenge than Lindenwood but will likely struggle to score in this one. Nebraska will win, it's just a matter of by how much. It remains to be seen how aggressively Nebraska will pursue the 3pt shot this season. They took a ton of them vs Lindenwood but that's a squad that tends to pack the paint. The Rattlers historically try to run you off the 3pt line but Creighton was easily able to find shots from deep on Tuesday. Seems like you'll continue to see more 3s from the Huskers simply because that's the type of players they currently roster. Guys like Derrick Walker, Denim Dawson and even Sam Griesel have been replaced by Reink Mast, Eli Rice, and Brice Williams where outside shooting is a strength. Heck, they're taking all those 3s and Keisei Tominaga has yet to see the floor. Here's to hoping for another smooth ride before the competition starts to pick up. Prediction: Nebraska 87 - Florida A&M 59

  6. Gonna go with a newer one you guy might not be familiar with off the Rattle and Hum soundtrack
  7. Looks like he's out a year but likely can play next year.
  8. I'd be interested in seeing how he does vs a D1 school. Also not sure we land Diop if he is still here.
  9. Wilhelm and Mulcahy seems like the buddy cop show that I put on DVR but won't actually watch.
  10. Put him in the frenemy column. Thought it was interesting to note since I'd forgotten he'd ended up at Washington.
  11. This sums up almost every reply by a Wisconsin fan to this article being tweeted out.
  12. While he could end up redshirting (we have a lot of guys coming back), after listening to Hoiberg's presser I'd now assume that he's coming here with the mindset to play day 1 and go from there.
  13. No. I'm trying to speculate on the when by completing ignoring the why. In the same vein I'd speculate that Keisei doesn't play on Thursday in part because we don't need him to win.
  14. Gary out again. That's 4 games (including the exhibition and secret exhibition) and if the start of Derrick Walker's season is any indication then it seems like regular season game 5 vs Oregon St. might be the first time we see Gary.
  15. Old friends Wilhelm Breidenbach and Paul Mulcahy started at Washington in Mike Hopkin's zone defense. WB did not attempt a 3pt shot.
  16. All this Braden Frager going to school early talk reminds me that 21 year old Yvan Ouedraogo is starting year 5 at Cal Baptist
  17. This has to be come from Frager. I think that Hoiberg would be more than happy to have Frager do not only a senior year at HS but add on a year at prep school to boot. Seems like it just works out because we have the open scholarship and you don't tend to have the ability to graduate HS a year early on accident. I think we'll continue to build out of the portal and thus will keep old but we want to keep adding these HS foundational pieces so that we also can maintain a culture.
  18. Assuming those are the two choices, doesn't it seem like getting a year in at college is the way to go?
  19. I have the special Matt A theme installed
  20. It's tough because on one hand he might actually transfer here one day but on the other hand it would be hilarious for the student section to have a McLovin license with his picture on it as he also was busted for a fake id.
  21. Would have been weirdly impressive for Frager to graduate from HS 1.5 years early and burn up a redshirt on half a year. I'd assume the plan is to come in a year early and redshirt so he gets up to speed on Hoiball
  22. Unless I'm very much mistaken we had 2 available scholarships
  23. Seen this one before. Screwup at a college in Wisconsin goes back to his home state and turns his life around.
