i said it in the game thread 5 min into the game that bryce looked checked out. i think his performance would suggest i was right. I have a hard time believing he goes in the lottery

can we beat iowa? they absolutely demolished us in the 1st 2 games.

took his 1st shot after 6 minutes and made it. has to be more aggressive if we have any chance of a run.

i don't like the effort i'm seeing out of bryce. either he is hurt or mailing it in. i'd like to believe he's not mailing it in.

is it me or do we always seem to play better around big 10 tourney time? what is this?

i'm willing to bet it had more to do with 15 nba scouts in the crowd than 'senior night'

fred is a competitive dude. I don't think he's enjoyed coaching half empty arenas and not winning for 2 months in a row. i expect he'll use every resource he has to build a good team next year. i'm glad he's getting another year.

well he's taking over a rock bottom situation which helps his outlook, but a clock starts ticking for everyone at some point.

alberts is smart to keep both frost/hoiberg another year because he didn't hire either of them and the fans aren't completely against bringing them back. alberts clock doesn't start ticking until he makes 'his' hires or he can look smart if fred/frost turn things around.

I will just say that I would bet fred takes a very different approach to the offseason and gameplan next year. That can only be a good thing in my opinion. It is hard to imagine us getting any worse next year. there will be some quality transfers that want to come here along with the solid recruiting class. Every starting spot is wide open next year.

walker is so slow on defense. i'm not sure you could play him at the 4. fred needs to find a 3/4 in the offseason.

i think fred will be back next year...it'd be hypocritical to fire him after keeping frost. we'll have new assistants and 90% new roster and people will be interested at the beginning at least... if next year goes horribly then he will 100% be gone. same goes with frost.

tim could never put together a complete team during his time here. he could get you 3 ballers then the rest of the team would be scrubs.

simply put i like the recruiting class coming in, and college basketball is more about recruiting than coaching. there's big strong guards in this class and a talented big. if we can add a couple transfer wings and another pg to this class, then you have a chance to be good right away next year. I also think doc is out which can only help the defense and recruiting. I like doc but probably time to move on there. If there's no improvement next year after another revamp of the roster then i think we can be fully certain fred has to go. I think it makes sense to see what happens next year with fred.

crazy that murray and mcgowens are projected to be drafted within a few picks of each other. mcgowens has never even come close to dominating a game like this.

How do you sign keon edwards, and then just not play him a single minute? like did fred even watch him play before adding him?

minimum NIT next year, or fred is done.

he has to shoot 50% from 3 to have a net positive impact on the court. and he's not even close to doing that.

fred drastically underestimated the physicality of the big10. what's funny is you can say the same about frost.

sadly i think our best chance of being good next year is if 2 guys transfer so we can add 2 more recruits/transfers. bryce, verge, and walker are the only 3 legit big 10 starters on this team right now, and we are losing at least 2 of them.

Went to the game. Lat should not be starting until he proves otherwise. Everyone else did very well. missed about 10 easy shots though that would have put this game a way a lot earlier.
