  1. We will need to go at minimum 8-2 at home in conference, which is doable.
  2. Lunardi still has the Huskers in a decent spot given how awful we played on Satruday. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-2025-march-madness-men-field-predictions He has 11 Big Ten teams making the dance. Wow. If the Huskers can finish the non con 10-1 and win 8-9 conference games, that might be enough to make the dance. Nearly every Big Ten game will be a Quad 1 or Quad 2 opportunity.
  3. It will be a tough game, but a great opportunity. Sparty is very similar to Nebraska in that they have a 10 man rotation and have seven guys averaging nearly 8 ppg. Sparty is shooting an abysmal 25% from deep, but they shoot really good from inside the arc, so I would except Nebraska to really pack the paint and force MSU to beat us from deep. If we can beat MSU tomorrow, the Huskers might be really good. Go Big Red!
  4. Sparty plays Minnesota tonight at the Barn. Minnesota will be lucky to score 60. The Gophers are currently averaging 64 ppg .
  5. I think this team will be better overall, but will finish with a worse record. The Big Ten is significantly better this year. I would be shocked if we win more than 12 games like we did last year. We have more depth, size, and Big Ten experience. The biggest thing to monitor will be our 3pt shooting. We were 3pt reliant last year, but this year we can win in multiple ways.
  6. Good stuff. Thanks for doing this. Berke has been really good so far. I have been surprised by his rebounding ability. If he can starts hitting some threes, look out.
  7. The biggest keys going into the game were, limit the Jays in transition, stop Ashworth and Kalk, limit turnovers, and make some shots. Although we didn’t hit many threes our mid range was phenomenal. Great gamelan by the coaches and great execution from the players. When we take care of the ball our offense is pretty solid. GO BIG RED! SCREW CREIGHTON!
  8. Jays: 81 Huskers: 72 3 double digit scorers
  9. If you're a Nebrasketball fan, it is born in you to hate Creighton.
  10. I hate Creighton. That's it. Go Big Red!
  11. Bad - Where was Juwan ? He did not have a good game. If we want to win going forward we need Juwan to average at least 12ppg. - We really struggled defending the pick and roll especially in the first half leading to wide open threes. Give credit to the Gaels for knocking them down. - Our offense still doesn't flow very well. It looks like a struggle to score at times. The main issue is we don't get a lot of easy looks. I am hopeful this can change with improved three point shooting. - Still way too many careless turnovers. Good - Saint Mary's was really good and we pushed them till the end. This game told me we can win some games in the Big Ten and maybe finish in the top half. - Great atmosphere at the Pentagon. The Pentagon is great place to watch the game. - I was proud of the toughness. We easily could have gotten blown out, but we weathered the storm pretty well. - Brice.
  12. Overall solid game. The ball movement was really good. We had 20 assist on 28 made field goals. We also took a lot better care of the ball. It was disappointing too see FDU cut the lead to 9. Thankfully we pulled away and won convincingly. Once we start hitting some threes and missing point blank layups, I think we can be pretty good.
  13. Obviously we played horrible. The careless turnovers are what’s bothering me the most. The fact that we only lost to Utah by 2 tells me this team can still be decent. I will remain optimistic that we can figure it out. Just remember we played horrible against North Dakota and Rider last year in the non con. Hopefully we’re getting our bad games out of the way early.
  14. Since every team has played a game, KenPom has his full rankings out. Nebraska ranks 16 in average height and 25 in experience. Our non-con schedule ranks 211.
  15. The offensive flow just didn't seem to be there. It felt choppy and hard to score. I wonder how much of that was due to all the free throws. It looked like we only ran 2 or 3 offensive sets. As the season progresses, I think Fred will expand the playbook a little more. I'm still not a fan of the baseline trap especially at the end of the shot clock. UTRGV had way too many wide open threes. Williams, Essegian Gary and Worster will all need to average double figures for this team to be good. My goodness, Essegian's shot is a thing of beauty.
  16. Huskers - 89 Vaqueros - 65 9 non con 20 overall
  17. Overall I thought we played alright. GVSU was definitely pretty good. They will probably be better than some of the teams we play early in the non-con. GVSU plays Purdue on Wednesday night. It will be interesting to see the result of that game.
  18. Good breakdowns by everyone. I was really impressed with our passing ability. Worster was as good as advertised. Essegian had really good passes as well. Fred always talks about making the simple plays and I thought we did a solid job of that. This will hopefully be a team that takes really good care of the ball. I really like the unselfishness of this group. Could be a special year!
  19. Who are you most excited to see play ? I'm going with Rollie Worster. I'm excited to see his pass making ability and creating winning plays. I am hoping to see how well he commands the court on both sides of the ball.
