Jo’s part of the quote saying “I’m excited for him that he got to leave PBA playing that way he’s known for.” Sounds very past tense to me, but time will tell -

Oh no that didn’t sound like a misspeak at all. -

It was 3 games in 7 days actually. And there were two days off between each game. NBA goes every other day. No classes. Not an excuse to me. Everyone in the conference has a stretch like this. But sure, the conspiracy. -

Hoiberg got outcoached from the jump. We had no idea how to guard their heavy movement/screen offense. It’s like their was no scout or defensive game plan at all. -

Hate the adjustment Hoiberg has made against the zone. Has our 5 (Mast) running high PnRs on the top defender—which can work if you have guards who are good drivers and dishers which we do not have. -

Eh. They don’t have classes right now and NBA guys play every other day. They should be fine. -

The gravity of the game has gotten to us mentally. Overcontesting and making so many mental errors. Creighton players havebeen in these games before, we haven’t. -

I couldn't agree more with this post--have to get to the rim more. Out of curiosity, where do you go to find stats like this? -
That's too bad. I'd selfishly love to see those republished in some capacity to see what the numbers say about our guys and also look at their progression through the year from before the season.

@Jacob Padilla Off topic but is there anywhere to access the husker player profiles you did for Hail Varsity? I found those super intriguing, and you were able to use clips from Second Spectrum that many don’t have access to. I was going to look back at some of those because they were super informative.

Hero ball was a constant theme of Fred's first 3 years at Nebraska. I'm in the same boat as you in that all of these offensive options could just turn into a bunch of your turn, my turn on offense. This has been my biggest gripe with Fred's time here, and the lack of correcting of it. I see flashes of this team looking similar to last year's offense where we run actions out of the high post, and the ball moves from there. IMO this season hinges on whether this team can play more similarly to the end of last year's team in terms of ball movement or if they revert back to Fred's earlier years.

This year is going to be super interesting to watch how Fred tries to blend all of the unique offensive talents on the team. If Fred truly is the offensive savant that so many give him credit for, this will be the year to prove it. I think that there is a world where all this scoring talent comes together beautifully. However, I can also see the opposite. The Nebrasketball skeptic in me is very cautious.

From what I read he said he would be ready by December 15th. Dude shattered his whole knee ala Joe Burrow, so a 9 month recovery would be tight. Also, no guarantees he's the same player. Still think he's worth a flier.

Besides the lack of athleticism/coordination, I think the wild shot form is what surprised me the most and was one of the biggest reasons I couldn’t come around on him. Career 21% three point shooter. He was a tweener who didn’t have the attributes to excel at either the 4 or 5.
