  1. I suppose Keegan Murray's twin will take a big step forward next year, and he'll curb stomp us twice then. Isn't that how this works?
  2. They're also frightening to behold.
  3. Wow, 16.5 points. Not wow, as I'm considering putting money on the Huskers, wow as in that doesn't seem like they're giving us a chance.
  4. That's the song but there's a version in dank and dark club with a bunch of kids losing it in the stomping. Wish I could find.
  5. Amen, brother! I looked but couldn't find an old B/W vid of the DC5 doing Bits and Pieces in a club. They were wearing boots and stomped to the beat at end of each verse. Crowd was out of its mind. (Memory fog had me thinking earlier it was Glad All Over.)
  6. FYI, Glock is a freshman, son of former Husker Jason. Mosser is the great grandson of the Neal Mosser who coached Bob Boozer and all the great Omaha Tech teams.
  7. NU didn't have a military training program (flight schools, etc.) or use military recruits from nearby bases. Others did, like Iowa State, which had good teams during the war years.
  8. Just in case the Lewandowski family is on the board and is mad about the bashing, I'll remind everybody that Adolph coached during World War II, with 4-Fs on his roster instead of 4-stars.
  9. No way I'd want him, he lost at home last night.
  10. Regarding the "butts in the seats" number, the attendance everywhere is down. I watch a lot of college hoops and you see the empty seats everywhere, and Covid is to blame. Lot of oldtimers with season tickets aren't going, and a lot of corporate seats aren't being filled. And a lot of people won't go if there's a mask restriction. I've seen plenty of empty seats for Kentucky, which like us has seats in their school color to hide that there's no one there. I'm not saying attendance isn't bad here, but that should have been acknowledged in the Shatel's column.
  11. Well, you asked, so I looked up some more: It's like he was a combination of Frost and Hoiberg.
  12. We'll also never know if Adolf Lewandowski could have won us a Big Six title if he hadn't been let go.
  13. Miles' San Jose team is 0-10 in conference right now, can we let go of the narrative that we lost something with his firing? Maybe he'll get them turned around eventually, but there are plenty of first-year coaches who have done a lot better this season. And a lot of them inherited hot messes too. He was 52–76 in the BIG over 7 seasons, enough time to prove what he could do. The fact that the Hoiberg era stinks to high heaven doesn't mean the Miles era was acceptable.
  14. Wow, you weren't fooled like the rest of us into thinking this year was different because we had so much "talent"?
  15. You asked for it!
  16. Somebody want to post werewolves of Lincoln?
  17. Didn't go today, but there were probably 5-6,000 for Wisky.
  18. Trey's defensive "intensity" is absolute crap.
  19. This didn't age well.
  20. Nice half-assed effort by Trey fighting through the screen. Why not just give up a 3 to a guy who already has 5.
  21. This is the first one during conference play that I've had a good feeling about. Might even win by double digits.
  22. If putting "NCAA violations" rumors out there is a tactic for firing with cause, then both the football and basketball programs are set up for firings. Funny how those rumors disappeared about as quickly as they started. If you're a conspiracy theorist, then you'd expect Fred to agree to reduced contract like Frost did.
  23. "The morning after blues, from my head down to my shoes" pretty much describes this season.
  24. I wish somebody would coach Powerball when they're hired here, instead of just winning Powerball.
