I think he gets the ball on the right block often is twofold. 1. I think the staff (and Jordy) thinks that his best shot is his baby left to the middle of the lane. 2. Other teams probably make it more difficult for him to get the ball on the left block (I don't know this, as I haven't broken down film, but it's just a theory). I too would like to see him get the ball on the left block, so that he could take a hard dribble or two to the middle, and spin back to his left hand. He gets in this position a lot on the right side of the block, but he does not know how to spin back to his right (or is uncomfortable then using this right hand to finish).

Man... If it was that cut and dry and lawyers/financial planners were involved - I don't really understand how this became such an issue.

In my opinion - it's better the way it is - versus still allowing a potential sexual assaulter to still be coaching a girls basketball team while an investigation/arrest/trial/etc... is still going on. If he's found innocent.... well, hopefully he wins some sort of settlement in the future and gets his name cleared, and the person who accused comes out and clearly admits their wrongdoing. If he did do it, the way it's currently handled, keeps a sexual predator away from the victims and makes the public aware. Really, really, really sucks if you're innocent. But I think it just kind of has to be this way. And what is the Combs dude's side? I mean a trial has already happened so it's not like you're breaching any confidentiality.

Jesus Christ.... I’ll just never understand this crap.

They are not very deep, imo. I really think this is the year.

I think Duby can play in this game, and be an advantage.
-
Normandy, if you were Creighton, would you have KT on Watson or Palmer? If I were McDermott, I'd go: Mintz on Taylor Thomas on Watson Foster on Palmer (size advantage here for Palmer, but Foster can get underneath him and is strong enough).
-
BTW, the reason I want Roby and Copeland at the 4 and 5 is actually pretty Creighton specific. Even though I don't think Jordy should be getting the minutes and focus of the offense he does, he creates a defensive nightmare for us against Creighton. Do you want him guarding Krampelj or Harrell or Hegner (is he playing yet?) on the perimeter? I sure as hell don't. And I don't think he is skilled enough to say, "well but they have to guard him on the block on the other end!" At minimum, I think Duby needs to be in there.

What will they be fellas? Glynn Watson _____________________ Evan Taylor __________________ James Palmer __________________ (wishful thinking) Isaiah Roby _________________ (probably) Jordy Tshimanga ______________ Isaac Copeland _________________

HHCC Game #11 - at Creighton (Dec. 9, 1:30 PM CST)

I've said this in years past regarding Creighton - but I don't feel like it's ever been more relevant than this year. If it didn't say "Creighton" on the front of their jerseys, I don't think we'd be too concerned about this game on paper. This isn't the type of Creighton team that's given us fits in the past, imo.

TM has completely abandoned the Lithuania/Gonzaga continuity offense and I’m doing a happy dance. Just playing motion Basketball after running some good sets. Guys making plays and unselfishly moving the ball. Also, Lewis calls a lot of the sets and manages a lot of the ATOs. Good on Miles to recognize the issue. Still think there’s some things on make/miss O transition I’d like to see improved and more defined - but nonetheless we’re making some huge strides offensively. Oh yeah and defense was nice or whatever. Score points baby!

One time, I took my NAIA JVs to North Platte Community College to play Coach O'Connor's team. They were loaded, but we jumped out to about a 15 point lead during the first half. Coach O called a timeout, met the guys at half court (full time-out, but they stayed standing). I didn't even talk to my team, I just said, "listen to him..." I think they went on a 70 to 10 run for the rest of the game.
