  1. It's Virginia or Oklahoma. If NU won out, some serious, serious relationship building and work was put in. Creighton, similar.
  2. I don't know why, but I can definitely see this guy being a good player, just by looking at him.
  3. While playing I think it's pretty silly. Especially if these guys are getting tested a lot. Seems like most transmission is coming from face to face contact for an extended period of time. It makes a lot of sense on the bench, huddles, and in the locker room. But, obviously, masks = good.
  4. Not to be sarcastic, but it's not really rocket science. None of those places are testing.
  5. I'm at this point too. At least for individual teams.
  6. It's gotta be a short list though, right?
  7. That was fun way to recap. Couple things: 1. I really liked it when Teddy Allen got the outlet after missed baskets. He pushed it nicely and got it either kicked ahead or attacked early. It also got the ball out of his hands early so he couldn't take a bad shot. But could get it later in the possession. 2. Walker adds a physical dimension and ability that has to be accounted for. You saw it on all our rolls, where shooters were more open for shots (Lat). 3. Walker adds a more physical dimension and ability on defense, that I am disappointed our coaches did not take more advantage of. STOP DOUBLING THE POST 4. Why not continue to foul with fouls to give at the end of the 1st half? Thor picked the ball up, who cares if he gets one? Would have more than likely negated the tip-in. 5. Rebounding and FTs baby.
  8. Has any team with a top 20, 5-star NOT made it to the NCAA Tournament? Ben Simmons at LSU?
  9. I think the big thing that helped was that he missed his first one... But then on his second one, it's like he took a deep breathe and said, "Good Lord I do not know what is going on, but please for the sake of all that his good in this world please let this one go in."
  10. Think how much better this offense would be if it was ran through Kevin Cross. Edit: In all seriousness, Teddy needs to buy into the system and run what is asked of him. He might not be the leading scorer at the end of the day (or he even might), but we will all have way more success. Teddy needs to let the game come to him and then make tough shots late when we need him.
  11. I mean, we're 131st nationally in Offensive efficiency with Allen as our leading scorer and leading shot taker from 2pt and from 3pt, with the most turnovers on the team... The one thing I did see that I really liked last night, was ironically Allen at the point, especially after missed buckets. Of course, that was because it basically forced the ball out of his hands to start a possession. But he does have a knack for finding open guys on the move in transition, and getting it pushed ahead. I agree that Walker made this offense move a little bit better because he's an actual threat to score on the role or dump down. Also, Lat simply making shots helped.
  12. I wouldn’t say he’s good on offense. I’d say He’s good at scoring, in a vacuum. But the cumulative effect of how and when he gets his shots hurts us more than it helps us.
  13. I think I’ve seen enough of the Teddy Buckets era to see this isn’t how winning, team basketball operates.
  14. All joking aside - I would love to get this kid.
  15. Pros: Listening to people attempt to say his last name. Seems to be able to stroke it. Has a "nasty" attitude (competitor, confident) Cons: Might have a credit card vertical, based off of the videos I watched. @Norm Peterson - got any workouts for him to fix it?
  16. I appreciate you talking me through my crisis, haha. I will step back off the ledge now.
  17. I'm not sure I really care if he can guard a B1G center. Front, double, rotate, and play hard. Do what we have to do. I also didn't know that Walker was eligible tomorrow - that was pleasant news to me. Can a B1G center guard Shamiel if they end up on the perimeter with him? Our problem is offensively. Yvan is not a threat, at all, to score off of the roll. He is also not capable of catching the ball in the dunker spot and finishing. That is killing our offense. Shamiel, in limited minutes, has demonstrated to me that he is much more capable underneath the defense in the dunker spot and as a roll man. And I should say, I do not think he has played well in his limited minutes. I just can't watch Yvan play anymore.
  18. It is very difficult to be a guy who has probably started and played huge minutes his whole career then playing 3 minutes. If you've ever played, you know it's very difficult to get in a rhythm or figure out your role with inconsistent minutes. Great. Semantics. Limited at this level? That's a really nice way of saying they're not good. Valuable contributors? How can you be a valuable contributor when you've played huge minutes on teams that are a now 11-32 combined? I am a nobody bitching on an internet message board, man. If our players are one, reading this, and two, upset by my words - then we have some bigger problems than I thought. I'm tired of the bs from Husker men's athletics. This crap is embarrassing. Constructive criticism is out the window at this point. Do better. Get better players. Work harder. Stop with the excuses. No other programs in the country that spend as much as we do, have the facilities and support that we do, and have the fans that we do struggle as much as us.
