  1. Why are my Bulls never involved in anything interesting?
  2. All about the mom. Many short moms have ruined the potential careers of sons former hoops stars before they were even born. Moms gotta be 5’7”-5’8” at minimum to have a super tall kid.
  3. Uh.... a 10 being my wife’s non-stop level of FOMO and a 1 being your buddies went to the boats in Council Bluffs but you hate gambling and the cigarettes smoke so you went home FOMO... I’d say this is like ~6
  4. We could, pretty easily, if we wanted to.
  5. He has pretty unlimited potential. Skilled for his size and all the moving parts are there. Just going to be a matter of time, want-to, and work for him to succeed. Fwiw, I’ve worked with a lot of kids like Lok. They’re almost always late bloomers.
  6. We should probably throw our name in the hat
  7. Tore his ACL last summer, tried playing this past year but definitely was no where near 100%. Was considered a solid D2 full scholarship guy before his injury. Maybe a very small D1. Athletic kid with a lot of skills, will be a good guy to have around for practice and whatnot.
  8. I should add, Norm, I'm just a sloppy body American. I am the definition of skinny fat.
  9. My Evaluation: -Not an elite athlete from an explosion perspective. Certainly can dunk and finish around the rim - but we're not talking Roby or something like that. -Throwback post player with elements and skills of a modern swing 4/5. -Undersized as a 5, but will be really pesky to guard for other 5s. Not athletic enough to be considered a Roby 4, but skilled enough in all areas to exploit mismatches against 3's and 4's. -Great ball handler for his build. Can start fast breaks and has good vision - which reminds me of Draymond. -Fats ya down and uses good moves, which reminds me of Zach Randolph. -Currently a "sloppy body all-american." Team co-captains have always been ZRandolph and Paul Pierce. -Perfect fit for positionless basketball and our system. -Videos I've seen have not shown him against particularly elite competition - might not be ready to play right away. Type of Player: Michigan State player Reminds me of: Parts of Zach Randolph and parts of Draymond Green
  10. @Kent Pavelka congrats on finally getting an easy name to say!
  11. Any violations we need to worry about?
  12. I think he’s a better scorer and less floor general but that’s a fantastic comparison nonetheless.
  13. I’m trying to have kids soon - this can happen after that.
  14. I'm just gonna assume Abdelmassih is 4 syllables. I've never actually heard it said.
  15. Doc's tears shed in pain Cloud lifts with Hoiberg's hire Doc's tears shed in joy
  16. Recruits we will get One year, two years, sit and wait I still want local
  17. Brand new team next year Hoiberg drops hammer on scrubs Hope springs eternal
  18. Rarely a JUCO guy without SOME kind of baggage. Usually something there... all on a spectrum. Obviously I’m generalizing. But I do have some experience in this regard, fwiw.
  19. I’m totally fine with a dirty recruiter for what it’s worth. As long as they don’t get caught. But, if they do get caught, hopefully we’ve won some stuff beforehand.
  20. This is a good thing. While I think far too much has been made about the cause and effect relationship of MB and us losing... clearly something wasn’t jiving. And even if it’s just a fresh set of eyes looking at the issue, it might help.
  21. I have many, first hand experiences with Suh. Not a good person. I personally do not root for his success.
  22. I played with some guys during Doc’s era, that I’m not 100% sure I wasn’t more useful on a basketball court than. I know some of you laugh at that - but there’s a reason I am so hard on Doc’s “reach recruits” like Mike Smith. I was friends with Barry Turner (football player), and he was honestly better than some of the guys on the team in that era. Absolute freak athlete. Nicest dude in the world also. Suh could hoop - but he’s literally the worst human ever. I stayed away from him. Both lived on my floor. But my two highlights will always be getting a concussion and seriously straining neck muscles from a screen at half court by Corey Simms - and playing against a very fat, out of shape, and rusty Joe McCray. wild times man wild times.... edit: I forgot - there was like a 2-star Husker football wide receiver recruit that came in really late. Everyone thought he was going to be an absolute star and a late season steal. I don’t think he ever played a second of football - but he was far and away a better basketball player than a few guys on the b-ball team. Zero question. Cannot remember his dang name.....
