  1. I would not complain what so ever if we offered DW from Winnebago
  2. He's hitting 39.1% of his 2pt jumpers this year, which isn't too shabby. However, when you look at his 70.8% make rate at the rim and 35.2% 3pt rate (52.8 eFG%) one can see why anayltics guys hammer on shots in the paint or at the 3. But not only that, if you're taking shots a foot inside the three point line, just take the 3 pointer. If it's 50% more valuable than a 2, and he shoots 34.7% from 3, he's have to shoot 52% on that jumper before it becomes as efficient as the 3. I don't know how close to the rim he has to get to that mark, but that's the whole analytics argument. Dakich doesn't like it. That's his perogative, I guess. There are nuances to this argument I'm leaving out, I get that, but the shot that he likes so much where he takes a step inside the arc (and White does it a lot, too) isn't a wise one, IMO...100% correct
  3. And no one else would touch the ball......... Which I'm totally fine with.
  4. Watson is really good. His best skill is his ability to navigate and create on ball screens. Something that Benny Parker never figured out in 4 years, which will go down as one of my biggest frustrations in "Nebraska Player Development History." But also makes me ask myself if it's even a skill you can develop, if a freshman comes in and already can do it.
  5. Your logic is indisputable. I'm convinced.
  6. But I've read all 1,500 of yours and learned lots. So, who got the better deal, huh? You've learned words I put together in sentences - whether they were right or made any sense is highly debatable
  7. I feel like I've read all 100,000 of those... I've learned nothin
  8. Coaches really don't like it when guys make calls out of their area.... BUT, coaches really like it when refs make calls out of their own area and it helps them.
  9. A Sipple article I agreed with and wasn't a puff piece.... I musta drank too much last night. He's right, the conversation is really going to chance next year. If the record is ugly by this time next year, so will the conversation. Patience is running thin.
  10. Fwiw, and I'm not saying UNO plays great defense, but using points allowed as a measure of a defense is not the best way to go about it. Especially when they score so many points and play such a frantic pace. They almost lull you to sleep allowing you to score, because when they turn on the jets, they turn on the jets and you don't have enough gas to play with them. Not saying we'd lose - I think we'd win - but they're the type of team who would give us absolute fits. Shavon and White would have massive games against them.
  11. Different classes, different position, different players. I'm all in on Ed... Obviously
  12. That's a pretty bold statement saying he's a "once in a generation in-state talent". There have been players way better than Ed Chang in state in the past generation. I'm not saying Ed isn't a good player but that might be setting the bar a little high with praise like that. You're right... He's similar to all the other 6'7"+, super long, athletic, with absolutely beautiful strokes from outside that we've had in this state. I kid! I kid! I know... Maybe went a bit superlative. But I watched a bunch of his highlights then finally got to see him play live. He's the real deal. Dreams of tournament wins were dancing through my head. So shoot me, ha!
  13. Not sure where in my post I said, "Ed Chang is a 5-star and better than Arop." Wasn't comparing the two. I just really want Ed Chang as a husker. And btw, Arop and Chang are different years and different positions. Unfair to say "Arop is better" as you're comparing different players unfairly.
  14. If we develop Arop and get Chang, Miles will be here a long time.
  15. If we do not get him I will be EXTEMELY disappointed. Once in a generation in-state talent. Reminds me of KD
  16. Out of curiosity - does a bench warning notify both teams that they need to watch out?Good question, I think that Tim might have said a bit more than Mark Maybe but you can't warn one and not the other. Poor officiating. That's not true at all... If Maryland didn't do anything egregious but we're getting close = warning. If Miles cussed him up and down = T
  17. Out of curiosity - does a bench warning notify both teams that they need to watch out?Good question, I think that Tim might have said a bit more than MarkHe usually does....
  18. When Michael Jacobsen is an upper classmen he's going to be..... Very.... Very good.
  19. Out of curiosity - does a bench warning notify both teams that they need to watch out?
  20. WHY ARE WE SO BAD IN 2-1 SITUATIONS?!?!?!?
  21. Our spacing has always been poor under miles unfortunately.
  22. Correct, Dean. However my counter to this would be - why even play a zone if you're going to get that complicated out of it? Just play a switching man with a lot of gap responsibilities. If you want to trap, you're still going to have to rotate around it and closeout to the ball. I would think with our size issues defending the post and rebounding, that we'd really struggle to do those things out of a zone... But who knows!
  23. We've made some X's and O's changes the past couple games that I am very happy and excited about. When I get 4 seconds of free time I'd like to post about it.
