Nebraska (13-4) vs. Iowa (12-5) Game Thread
B-town hoopsfan replied to Bugeaters1's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
Gotta make some outside shots to come away with a win tonight -
Is she able to qualify for a regular redshirt with the new rules?

You wonder what 4 years of her and markowski woulda looked like.

Nebraska (12-4) vs. Rugters (8-8) Game Thread

Need nissley to hit her stride like she did at the end of last year. This offense looks a lot better if we start hitting a few more threes. -
It’s nice to watch other big ten teams(like these two) and be able to say we are significantly better than both….can’t remember alot of years I thought that at the beginning of January

Twitter was similar, their barstool account was complimentary of the environment but that may have been a sarcastic tweet too -
They seem to be a much better team when one of reneau or ballo is out. I think reneau was out today

Gonna have to hit some shots to come away with this one I think. Probably need to put up 75 points to get it done

Penn St (9-5) VS. Nebraska (10-4) Game Thread

Thought we would see Some more Hargrove with Coley really struggling until that big three at the end. Strange game that we were lucky to win between poor efforts, poor execution, and what seemed like an overall poor game plan. -

Pitre and bozan gonna be enough for us to hang onto this thing? -

Put 44 in the pick and roll every time down the floor. Our Coaching is mind boggling that we aren’t doing that. -

We just aren’t a very good team right now, just jacking threes when they aren’t falling -
It’s really remarkable from game 1 to 14 how much essegian has bought into the defensive concepts and just the effort needed to stay on the floor. Goes 0 for 6 from 3 on 6 pretty good looks but yet his biggest impact on the game may have been how he effects spacing just by being on the floor.

Somebody better tell Cassidy to check the schedule I fondly remember a wire to wire loss they had right before thanksgiving
-
I think this years team is just destined to be kinda clunky on offense. Just gotta stick with leaning into the defense and hope Williams/essegian can get us another 9+ wins. I could see a game or two where Gary/berke/morgan combine for 50 too.

They got a ton of big calls/no calls in this one including the zebras throwing out one of Gonzaga’s top 3 players halfway through the first half and then not reviewing an elbow to the face under a minute to go after earlier in the game calling a Gonzaga elbow to the face a flagrant 1.

Keeping Up with Old Friends (The Transferred Thread)

If he gets in the lane a few more times a game and shoots 30 percent the rest of the way on top of the key uncontested 3s people will remember him pretty fondly. -
Feels like they had a shit ton of NIL money and instead of filling in around the potential stars they already had they went out and just got stars from other teams with no care on how they fit together. They woulda lost today vs Winthrop at home if they didn’t dominate the offensive glass, they were 1/17 from three at one point and just kept shooting them

It truely is amazing the skill Malik Reneau has a picking up totally not needed fouls for Indiana

Keeping Up with Old Friends (The Transferred Thread)

Rice would of had a better year last year than Griffiths if they received equal playing time, he just apparently didn’t want to come off the bench here so instead he’s not playing at all for Penn state. Tough deal for him and he probably got some not so great advice in the transfer process -
I don’t think we ever get to see it but what a lineup of death this coulda been. 1. Worster 2.Griffith’s 3.Williams 4.Gary 5.Berke in theory should been our most versatile group on offense and woulda had length for days in our defensive game plan.
