Norm, I appreciate you bringing up Wyoming. I am a longtime Cowboy fan and have watched most of their games (they are playing at Fresno State Sunday at 6 p.m. cst; is on FS1). Ike is good. Big fella that can make free throws. 20/9. I would take Linder or Niko Medved.

We have only a couple of guys who could start on most Big 10 teams, at most. Our talent level is consistently overrated on here, due to recruiting rankings. Actually I don't think Fred used it as an excuse; he just said he went with the guys that he thought gave us the best chance to win. Washut tweeted it as a minutes restriction, and the Big 10 postgame crew accepted it at face value. Not dissimilar from Fred initially saying Verge not playing against Rutgers was a coach's decision, and then Washut tweets out about the aunt, and it gets accepted at face value.

Actually, the 11-10 scenario would be harder to swallow, since we would still be playing for something. The loss would mean something. Hard to be too crestfallen over the difference between 6-16 and 7-15, or 0-11 vs. 1-10. Or whatever our record is.

I've been hearing about "quality recruits" for 3 years. And "quality transfers". Most of them have sucked. I ain't buying that.

That's cause Fred was not Washut's source. And when you read all of Fred's quote it's pretty clear Washut and his source are stretching things quite a bit, or Fred is even less in touch with what is going on then we thought. Pretty sure its the former.
