  1. Feel bad for Rachel B, and for us, as she had a big 4th quarter against Rutgers at home. Kalenta will have to give us some decent minutes today.
  2. I agree with Norm's choice, but here is another some of you may remember: Several years back, I think during Doc's tenure, at Texas Tech. Pretty much a miracle finish. There's a scrum on the sideline between the 3 point line and midcourt line with a couple of seconds left. Somehow Charles Richardson gets the ball and launches a 3 pointer which is good for the win. My memory is foggy but Chuck may have also saved the ball from going out of bounds. I do remember it was an awesome hustle play by Chuck. Another, not up to that standard as a hustle play, but at Okie State, Wes Wilkinson has an open 3 for the win and freaking air balls it--yet a Husker hustles to the air ball and tips it in for the win. Can't remember who made the tip in. Each year it gets a little harder to pull up things from the past--or from 10 minutes ago. EDIT: On the win at Texas Tech, it was the TECH player who saved the ball in bounds to Chuck, of all things, and Chuck fired up the shot. Which was ultimately a 2 I believe. But still for the win. Doesn't fit Norm's category, but it would rank up there as one of the craziest (and perhaps luckiest) finishes ever.

  4. I watched them play in person a couple of times, watched the few games that were televised back then, and listened to many a game on the radio with Dave Blackwell on the call. And I was both of them on the driveway shooting hoops. Lantz, Baack and Scantlebury. Leroy Chalk and Bob Grattop. Then Marvin Stewart. Loved Husker hoops ever since.
  5. Coach Stephens has some ties to Minden folks due to her time at UNK. Glad she is involved in Taylor's recruitment.
  6. He would be seeing plenty of that today, Red Don! There's a blanket of the white stuff out there.
  7. Me neither; they screw us everywhere, all the time.

  9. That's a nice win down two players, one being Theriot!
  10. Thanks Red Don. I'll let him know you have his back!
  11. Man has Griesch struggled today. Tough broadcast for him.
  12. Huge throws coming up for Burns!
  13. Up 15 after 3!
  14. Missed free throws are concerning. Need every point
  15. We have a reason now: Theriot not playing. Esther not on the trip.
  16. A presale is on for tickets to the NU-KU game on April 27 at Kauffman Stadium. 6:00 p.m. first pitch. This should be a good opportunity to watch a game at the K and get way better seats than for a Royals game. Got my two last week in the Diamond Club behind home plate for only $15 per ticket. Similarly, the presale for Big 10 Tournament tickets at TD Ameritrade Park started 10 days ago. Not sure when tickets are available to the public; great tickets will be available. Block off those days early and enjoy some baseball in Omaha.
  17. Very interesting article. Good works by the Blackburns.
  18. Wow. There's a long off season beginning in April. And this is a big game. Well, to each his own, I guess.
  19. Anyone know why Matt isn't listed on the broadcast?

  21. I was thinking the same thing. Going to add BangARang and "I love you Shavon" when I have a chance I'd like to see more of that locker room PARTY!
