  1. Offensively, we are simply going to struggle this year. Last year CJ, Keisei, and Lawrence could all hit threes at a very high rate. It also helped Williams last year. Worster and Uhlis aren’t dropping 4-5 threes per game. So our outside shooting is going to be a weakness
  2. How many offensive fouls is Brice gonna commit?
  3. Just no flow to the offense. We don’t have a single slasher? Gary needs to remember who he is. Rollie needs to step up.
  4. Brice and Gary are not good on forcing contested midrange shots. Have to shoot better from 3, especially at home. Goodness.
  5. Gary doesn’t look the same as last year. He is just throwing up bricks near the rim.
  6. Gave up the middle defensively - so we overcompensated at times and left some of their guys pretty open. Our defensive effort tonight would not have translated well in say, the CHI in Omaha. Rollie is solid. Gavin has some spring to his game Connor found his shot compared to the exhibition Have some areas to improve. I don’t think we played all that well and still won by 20.
  7. Media guides are perhaps a thing of the past (the print versions) but I did successfully use an extra football one back in 1996. A younger brother was visiting my college for “sibling weekend” and he stopped by my dorm room, as he was interested in going to Nebraska, and I was known as a diehard Husker nut. I’m not saying the media guide sealed the deal but he did thank me and took the media guide enthusiastically and told me he would definitely read the entire thing. It worked out, his name was Kyle Vanden Bosch and he did end up coming to Nebraska….
  8. The new media guide is now on Huskers.com 212 pages long. Really well put together.
  9. That’s awesome!!! Hope you get to add another one this year.
  10. He ran into a butt
  11. Maybe someone on the inside can confirm, but I was told yesterday that the basketball teams will NOT be producing a media guide this year, rather, it’ll just be online. Disappointing if true. Husker football and Volleyball both have them, Ive always guessed basketball is third fiddle. I have selfish reasons this year to want one. Hoping my information is wrong.
  12. I don’t think we want skinny Berke on the block. I didn’t see elite quickness today from him but that’s probably ok. He did have a nice drive and pump fake with finish at the rim.
  13. I was wondering if his uniform was a size too small…
  14. Fortunate enough to be up and close today. Got to see and hear some things I normally don’t. Some could say we were sloppy, I think that’s natural for an early season exhibition game. Connor had an off night from the outside, but our length is going to give teams fits. I’m not surprised about the 13 steals because we have active hands and deflected and altered quite a few passes. Because of Morgan being out, Berke was the backup center to spell Meah. Sam was also out (ankle) so Cale got some nice minutes too. I predict 2-3 guys will redshirt that we saw today. Too bad it’s not like football where they can play in a few games. Gavin is a better shooter than advertised. Brice and Gary and Rollie are definitely the leaders. Uhlis is solid, not overly flashy. Berke has a thick frame but I wonder how he will go against opposing big ten PF’s and Centers. should be a fun year!!!
  15. My diehard Iowa basketball friend says this about Uhlis ”he’s a solid, big ten guard. Isn’t flashy, won’t make spectacular plays but will not hurt you. Good defender on the ball. Steady player.”
  16. Some real evidence of roster development and building depth is: in the not so distant past, Cale Jacobsen would be in the regular rotation and possibly even start. He’s a good athlete and a solid overall player. And he’s better than a couple of previous starters we’ve had in the past 24 year or so. But now we are in a scenario where he may not see regular rotation minutes in conference play. For the record, I really like Cale, he’s an outstanding young man and I hope he finds minutes somehow!
  17. Coach is still figuring out lineups and roles and minutes, it’s an ongoing process and will be sorted thru practices. We could be pretty darn good fellas
  18. The women: Alberte Rimdal Britt Prince Callin Hake - winner for women Men: Connor Gavin Bryce
  19. Was a fun event. Weather was beautiful and lots of young fans interacted with the players. I’m getting pretty excited for the season!!!
  20. Would benefit our volleyball team as well. Tough decisions across the board
  21. Been a diehard since the early 90’s. Season ticket holder since 1990. So many awesome players. But personally, it will always be Keisei. Not heralded, not a five star, overcame not speaking much English and adjusting to Nebraska culture, but the pure joy and enthusiasm he showed was infectious. Will always be grateful I got to see him play and shine at PBA
  22. Oh. That makes sense. I’ve been a season ticket holder since PBA opened on the 200 level. But that makes sense that cumulative it doesn’t count, I spend $600 on tix plus $90 to park and who knows how much on Gas from Omaha and concessions… Really don’t care, just want to win!!!
  23. Priority points are based on total spend and giving per year to the athletic department. My 200 level seats don’t have a donation so I’m sure that hurts my ability to pick better seats.
  24. No more seats available in the 100 unless you want a single seat. Looks like all the 200’s are gone as well. As of yesterday there were at least 6 or 7 pairs in the 100 I had my eye on. My seat yourself time is in two hours. Just gonna keep my current seats, again.
  25. Interesting info.
