I watch some of the Colorado and OK State on Sunday. Several transfers on both teams. Just the name of the game. You can get better quickly with a few good transfers. You can look at VB, Texas might have not won a NC without several transfers.
Yes I did see it. I also agree with subbing more at that level. But there is a fine line and I think Amy has shown to sometimes be too quick. Last night did show we have more talent. Also think our athleticism showed. After all was said and done we got the win. Ready to move on to Tuesday.
Agree taking out our hot effective players because they have reached some sort of minutes mark does hurt us at times. Potts just has a great sense for the game. She will have her freshman moments but do not expect there to be many.
Maggie has worked very hard to improve herself on the VB court. I know her lateral movement has been a work for her. I too hope we can see her settle on one sport.
All three schools listed are normally in the top 15 and among the top contenders in their conference. All three have good coaches. I can see Britt taking a hard look at these schools. Yes maybe the parents wanted her to go to a school they think will allow more success on the court. I also think we need to look at the teammate part of this. Look at the VB team. The 5 freshman have played a lot together and have become good friends before even coming to NE. So maybe Britt was leaning toward Indiana and we have Kennadi to thank for her coming to NE. I have no idea just happy she is coming. As John Baylor often says, "There is more wood to chop".
Regardless of what version is factual or if it is somewhere in the middle. Amy and staff need to keep trending upward with our play on the court and in recruiting. With the portal as it is it makes it real easy for kids to leave one program and go to another, even within the conference. Let's hope they all decide that Nebraska was the right choice.
Does she really need to take a scholarship? I think employees children get a discounted rate. Plus Williams make a pretty good salary as our head coach.
Coley should had transferred to get a fresh start. We have spend too much time trying to make her a 4. I do not she much from her. Too bad really cause I think she would have been a good player if we had committed to her as a 3. Watched the replay on BTN+ and we have a lot of work to do yet. We have some good pieces in place but we need to use their strengths (AM rebounding). Petrie appears to a work in progress. Does she make it or leave early like Porter? Time will tell. White will be a valuable addition this year. Thinking more in the lines of what Weidner could be (without the 2 ACL's) than Haiby. Also agree Potts should be our 4 to start, along with Moriarty at the 3. Nissley also looks to be ready. We have the pieces to be a good team. Can they put it together?
Sad news about Allison. I know of a few women athletes who have had similar stories with a ACL in one and then injuring the other knee. So do we know what her injury is? Another ACL? Jaz and Darian will need to step up even more without her for the season. Also need better production from our bench guards.
I have it on my DVR. Was in northern NE on Saturday and and central NE yesterday. Had time to watch the NE / PSU volleyball match yesterday. Was going to try to watch it tonight. Did hear they had over 55,000. Like Volleyball day in NE. I am sure they had a few recruits.
Nebraska, Indiana, and Iowa among her list of 11. I think Maryland offered her as well. I could see her going to Indiana. Moren is a very good, proven coach. Put it this was if not Nebraska, then in the B1G I would rather she play there than Iowa.
I would guess she is taking the time to shrink the list to her top 4-5 schools. I think it is Creighton, and B1G schools. Maybe a couple of schools in red, and one in black.
