Can't speak for Norm, but I'm sure that there are a few others in this board that share these two thoughts. Sure, at the time Hoiberg > Miles. Looked like a great hire. Miles was sand bagged by the administration. Not adding more years to his contract looks even more ridiculous today. At a time when length of contract mattered for recruiting. You start Miles and Hoiberg from the point where the Huskers are today. Pfft Miles has the Huskers in the tournament before Hoiberg does.

Yeah that's past "dean man walkin” territory. I give Hoiberg credit. He's done a damn good job this year. Too little too late. He’s brought in an, essentially, entirely new roster each year. And not once has he shown he can be successful doing this. And in only one year has he even shown he can be competitive. Seasons not over buuuuuut it could get brutal. And soon. And one thing Hoiberg has shown is he can give us a basketball team that goes through long brutal stretches.

My irrational hope and joy continues! Man these games age me. I was 41 when this season started. I am now 173. Walker is so fun to watch. I remember there being discussions he's done playing basketball after college. No one will convince he couldn't make some nice money overseas if he continued playing professionally. I could totally see him in a quasi Draymond Green role.
