uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 15, ed 11: vs. Purdue.

Ha! Funny you asked. I posted this in a different thread today - I really like what he's doing this year. Its unfortunate we're only seeing this type of team in year four. Even if he does come back next year the ugly truth is he's pretty close to being in coaching no mans land. He's not getting an extention. Its the same place Miles was at in his last years. Its a good thing there's a portal because that's likely Hoibergs only chance to turn this thing around if he's retained. -

If they continue to compete like this the wins will come, but yeah, what you said.

I LOVE this team! Trying to leave my anger in the game thread . They just don't quit. My expectations are now high. No one can convince me this team shouldn't make the post season in some form. BIGTEN was put on notice this week. Better be ready to battle when we come to play. Watch out if we start hitting FT's or our shots start falling at a miniscule better clip! -

uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 15, ed 10: at Indiana

Yes sir! Outside of my renewed blind optimism going into last night I was interested to see how we handled IU to confirm CU wasn't a random fluky game. And last night did nothing but add to my blind optimism. The confirmation I got was we can play with everyone in this league. Now its gonna take all hands on deck. We can't afford to lose nearly any player. But if our starting 5 is available we can beat anybody on any given night. -

We battled the whole game and never gave up. Just not enough fire power in the arsenal with Griesel sidelined. -

More a comment on the announcer saying the ref was a veteran ref because in his view thats what he was doing. And he said it like it was a good thing. -

I know it happens. I understand. But if you are calling fouls dependent if a player makes a shot or not you're a shit ref. -

Scouting report is out on him. And if no one else is hitting they can really focus on denying his shot. -

Welp is right. We really can't afford to lose anyone from the starting 5. And thats doubly true for Walker or Griesel. -
Yup. I've done a 180. Until proven otherwise...CHOO! CHOO! All aboard the hype train! It's WAY more fun

When I saw Blackshirts in the description I honestly thought he was gonna bust out those sweet sweet black basketball jerseys. Missed opportunity. -

Me neither. But it is obvious now that Walker is the straw that stirs this Husker drink. -

Did it translate on court? No. Did they learn? I guarantee they did. Did they have the horses to compete without Walker even if they did learn? Nope. -

I'll eat some crow. Before this season I thought this team was going to be a dumster fire, on top of a tire fire, floating on the great pacific garbage patch. I was wrong. This team is getting observably better each game. Tip of a cap to Hoiberg. Hes doing a hell of a job so far. We just might mess around and see some post season play this year. -

To piggyback on this maybe not having him available in the beginning took away a crutch and forced the team to learn how to play with out him. Also gave his minuets to players that needed them more for development purposes. Walker has got back to top form damn quick so I don't think him not playing was a detriment to his game. I think long term him being gone may have been a blessing in disguise. -
