volume scorers are funny that way. you take away the volume, they tend to look crappy. last year, ray was a .306 shooter with heavy volume. below average by quite a bit. his carer percentage is a fairly dismal .292, at least for someone graded as a shooting guard. What he's doing this season is in line with his career numbers. If he gets volume, he can score. But the price for his points is high, as he has to take a lot of shots from teammates to do so.
