Think Fred really likes the bigger lineup for the big10 for sure. Think there is a reason we are going after numerous bigs. Wants an athletic big 4 to play with Mast. Kyle would be perfect. i like Uhlis but think we will shoot for a legit stud PG/Combo guard if we can

Agree, don’t see Payne moving his feet on the perimeter like Kyle can but my biggest reason for not caring about Payne is attitude. Seems like a bit of a head case and might not fit the culture. JMO, no real info on him though.

I don’t think so either. However if we bring in a top flight guard and maybe two it becomes crowded for minutes at guard. JL, Uhlis, Sam, and Jano would have been competing for backup minutes and if we get 2 portal guys it’s extremely crowded. Wonder if Fred is comfortable with Jano in the rotation as a frosh? Or how high he is on Uhlis after seeing him for a year in practice. things that might go thru Lawrence’s mind, obviously just guessing.

Would love to know how the coaches feel about Jano and Frager. Are they rotation guys as freshman? Assuming Jano will be but maybe they are higher in Frager than we think

This would be great plus I would think it makes it more likely Mast stays.

It was when he was younger and when his Dad coached there. I am really interested to see how he does stepping up a level. Great shooter, good size, great hoops IQ but pretty slow footed.

That’s why I hope he ends at the point, from what I’ve seen he can do it all as Ghost pointed out as well. He seems like a guy you just want to have the ball in his hands and will make the right decisions. Also agree with Ghost on his question about quickness. Not saying it is not good enough but will have to see when he gets on campus. I don’t think it is required though to play the point if you check all the other boxes.

I hope he is our PG of the future. Ease him in at both next year and take over after that. I dream of a better 3pt shooting Tyler Kolek.

NBA writer / insider Sam Vecenie has been advocating for him to get an NBA contract for a couple weeks now. He’s really made a career for himself which is great to see. Always liked him.

Was on Beale all night and never saw a single Tx AM fan, it was odd. Houston fans were out but the vast majority are Huskers.

He must have put in the work last year. He noticeably changed his body. Looks leaner and stronger for sure.

That is mostly because he works for ESPN. If they put an actual guy who really knows the system all over their platforms they would get just a many or more clicks.
