  1. Their 3 PAC 12 losses are Stanford, Was St, Or St. If it keeps going the way it looks now, they might only end up a 2-3 bid league.
  2. I've been waiting to start a thread even though I've been watching the bubble for a few weeks now. Of course at this time of the year, it's large and will get slimmed down. There are only a few teams that are on "life support" as I saw one bracketologist refer to them. Teams like Oregon State, DePaul, etc that would pretty much need to run the table and win their conference tournament. I'll do my best to include all bubbly teams, but there is some personal opinion involved. Hopeful to update this each day with results from the previous day and games to watch for the current/next day. Format below. I may throw in some of my thoughts each day too. Results (Date) Big 10 Games Non-Con Opponents Games Other Bubble Games Games To Watch (Date) Big 10 Games Non-Con Opponents Games Other Bubble Games So here is the inaugural post. Results (1/25/24): Overall, a pretty good day for us. Our Non-Con opponents took care of business and that huge win for Oregon St. should keep them a Q3. In bubble action, the teams we'd like to lose all won. St. Mary's and Gonzaga could be a 1 bid league... but we need them to lose a couple more. St. Mary's get's a nice bump to #18 in the NET because they won big. Grand Canyon could also steal a bid if they run the table. Big 10 Games NONE Non-Con Opponents Games Oregon State 83, (9) Arizona 80 Stony Brook 72, Monmouth 65 Rider 62, St. Peters 57 Little Rock 80, Lindenwood 66 Cal St. Fullerton 54, Cal Poly 51 Other Bubble Games St. Mary's 76, Pacific 28 Gonzaga 77, San Francisco 72 Grand Canyon 53, Stephen F Austin 51 Games To Watch (1/26/24): Not too much happening today. A good one in the Big 10 on tap, but pretty much a wash for us on who we need to win at this point. The bubble game is a stretch, but St. Joe's could crack a bid should they pile up some wins in the A-10. Big 10 Games Michigan St @ Wisconsin Non-Con Opponents Games None Other Bubble Games St. Joseph's @ St. Bonaventure
  3. Interesting that he was a game time decision Tuesday but Out the day before on Saturday.
  4. Feeling much better about this year. I was post season or bust last year but understood why we’d give another chance after finishing how we did. I’ve stated in other threads that I’m NCAAs or bust this year and I’ll stick to that. Much improved and much more fun to watch! Much more of a TEAM the past year and a half too.
  5. Here is the top 36 teams in the NET and how they’ve done against the NET top 100 this year. Bonus… our metrics are below. Wins: 7 Q1 Wins: 3 Win %: 58% Wins Rk: not sure what this one is Avg Opp Rk: 58 Our metrics are right around the St John’s/Clemson region. Would be in the top half of this group.
  6. Giving me Little Big League vibes with this stat. Lol!
  7. Winning at Maryland… or anywhere on the road… is tough to do. Period.
  8. 24 point NET bump from 190 to 166. For those interested, they’d need to stay Top 200 for Q3 status. They probably have no chance at Q2 status which is Top 100 for Neutral.
  9. JLaw isn’t as far away from being in the Top 10 either IMO. If my man is able to create on O and make shots like he was last year… combined with his D this year, he’s a near lock for Top 10 if not starting PG.
  10. He was also somewhat explosive. Still remember some of his driving dunks including early on in the No Sit Sunday game.
  11. I'd worry about teams packing it in and daring this group to shoot. While you have to respect Gary, Palmer, and Roby... I also wouldn't mind making those two beat me from outside. Especially with the driving ability and post up ability of this group.
  12. Honestly... I didn't see a lot of fire Frans on that board.
  13. And it’s sooo easy too to be like “stop Tominaga” but in doing so, you leave guys wide open and this year we’re knocking down shots. The one thing we don’t have is someone to drive AND finish. I feel like that’s where we struggled the most.
  14. This is a tough tough one. Watson/Webster Petteway/Keisei Palmer/Shields Copeland/Gary Roby/Mast
  15. Outside shot of getting into the Dance. They’re stacking some road wins. I expect a lower scoring game.
  16. Same. My guess is that we’ll get a seed that doesn’t play in Omaha. For example, if we’re only the 11/12 cut and the 11 plays in Omaha… we’ll get a 12 seed. Just speculation.
  17. Reading other message boards throughout the last month, the following fans want their coach gone… 1. Indiana 2. Ohio St 3. Purdue (only a few fans but it’s because he can’t “win the big ones” “same ole same ole”) 4. Minnesota, though his seat may have cooled a bit with their recent run. Gotta finish strong though. 5. Michigan
  18. Edited to add our 2 Q2 losses. Ya got me! Was trying to sneak that by the committee dang it haha!
  19. KSU took an L up in Ames last night. Played pretty well most of the game until Tang got a T with a few minutes left and things derailed. ISU fans were definitely on Tang…
  20. Northwestern’s win bumped them back up to a Q-2 giving us 5 Q1 + Q2 victories. 3-3, 2-2, 3-0, 7-0 are the quad records.
  21. Big one tonight in the Mo Val… Drake loses to an awful Missouri State. Some were talking them being a 2 bid league but even more than that, they were a few notches above us in the NET and Pom
  22. Sounds like a good job for Lawrence/Hoiberg.
  23. Go watch that pass on the TV and watch Fred. The pass actually went to Fred and he grabbed the ball and slammed it (dribbled hard) into the floor out of frustration. It was a total Dad move that I and many others would do and know our dads would do as well. I laughed when I watched that back today.
