  1. Lunardi posted on Twitter just now his thoughts. He has Northwestern and MSU both as "80%+ chance to make the field" and us as a one of the 25 teams fighting for 7 bubble spots. I'm sorry, but Northwestern's resume and our resume are really comparable. Not a 7 seed and 10 seed difference IMO.
  2. Results (2/1/24): Biggest win of the day was ours of course. Outside of that, our non-con opponents could have had a better day and all bubbly teams took care of business. One note is that North Dakota is doing pretty dang well in conference play and sit in a tie at the top of the Summit standings. Big 10 Games Wisconsin 72 @ Nebraska 80 Non-Con Opponents Games Stony Brook 71 @ Hofstra 72 North Dakota 95 @ South Dakota 81 Western Illinois 79 @ Lindenwood 71 Hawaii 76 @ Cal St Fullerton 68 Oregon St 63 @ UCLA 71 Other Bubble Games Seattle U 88 @ Grand Canyon 95 Oregon 78 @ USC 69 San Diego 79 @ San Francisco 95 Games To Watch (2/1/24): Need Creighton to beat Butler (Puke). If Tim could pull off some Miles Magic, that would be a terrible loss for Nevada. Big 10 Games Ohio St. @ Iowa Non-Con Opponents Games Siena @ Rider Butler @ Creighton Other Bubble Games St Bonaventure @ Dayton Princeton @ Yale San Jose State @ Nevada
  3. Definitely not required. There have been teams in the 20’s and 30’s left out and teams in the 60’s and 70’s taken as an at large. Personally, I think where our opponents finish in the NET is more important than where we finish in the NET. Quads are more heavily looked at more than your personal NET ranking.
  4. A lot to like about this post. At the end of the day it’s a bunch of dudes in a room that make the decision on who is in and out. The metrics might not show it this morning, but Twitter is running wild with our win from last night. Those kind of things play a role too. Also agree with the storyline that we can bring this year. I would even add Keisei’s story to the points made above. Remember there are a lot of eyes in Japan that would be on the NCAA tournament should we make it.
  5. Rewatching the game and the Wilcher heat check 30-40 footer gave me huge Petteway No Sit Sunday heat check vibes.
  6. Probably first 4 Tuesday game in Dayton lol
  7. Margin of victory and game location I’m sure played a huge factor. We got the most important metric added though… another W in that Q1 column.
  8. Every Big 10 board I go to says “I’m glad we don’t play them there this year” or “I’m glad we already played them there this year” or some version of “We don’t have a shot there” PBA is a tough place to play. One of the best in the conference and you won’t convince me otherwise. Part of that is the fans. Phenomenal. Best bang for the history we have in the entire nation.
  9. There’s a rule that it can’t start until both teams are on the court. We just came out!
  10. Result based metrics like us though. This was prior to tonight, so our strength of record could be top 30 tomorrow.
  11. With all that being said... I'd much rather be on Purdue's side of the bracket than Wisconsin come March.
  12. Lot of season left, but a lot of winnable games.
  13. Looks like he's calling us to beat ourselves on the road... which is right on par for the year. Things change Sunday though!
  14. To get this win... with Keisei playing the way he did. Huge. Clutch. We can beat anyone and we're deep as a team.
  15. 25-0 bench points. That won us the game 100%
  16. I didn't see, but it appeared he ran right to the locker room. I don't blame him because of the court storm, but man... he's never coming here if he transfers. He's taken a few beatings from our crowd... but well done again.
  17. This is so improbable of a win. We looked absolutely dead in the water.
