I do think some bracketologists are severely underrating our seed range right now. I think our Non-Con SOS will be holding us back should we ever be in discussions for a 6 maybe 7 seed…. But we’re firmly in the 8-9 range as it stands today with 3 to go, the BTT, and a Q1 road game.

I’ve heard this as well. It makes sense. Let’s select teams who have done the best with the schedule they’ve been given and seed them based on how they should do moving forward.

Oh, so this is going to be a thing now. “Arrest college students for having fun and being passionate” isn’t a hill I’d die on. Instead, I’d try to find ways to make sure everyone on the court is safe. That seems more productive. 1. Under 4 timeout, officials meet with school admin to review end of game protocols. 2. Officials meet with coaches prior to starting play after under 4 to discuss protocol. 3. End of horn, security forms “the line” between students and rushers. 4. If time and place allow, coach calls TO prior to final horn, subs 5 end of game players, instructs them to stand right by bench while clock expires. This isn’t THAT hard. That took me 5 minutes to come up with and (while it probably has holes) doesn’t take the fun or passion out of STUDENTS hands.

Isn’t that the truth.

Kudos to Husker vision/fan team yesterday as well. There was a point in the game where they were able to keep the entire crowd on their feet… at least in my section (120) through an entire timeout.

For those wondering if Coleman is locked in… kudos to him. Even though this is a CJ videos he’s still up and going nuts with the guys.

It was a fairly quiet 10 and 8 for him. Was surprised to see those stats when he fouled out because it didn’t seem like he did a ton yesterday.

Well that was a fun one to be at. Those 2 hour drives back are a little rough though. A few notes from me. - There were a couple of times where I thought the roof was going to blow off the place. We missed the big shot, but overall crowd was great. - To overcome the shooting start we had was big and the way we did it was partly due to D. We certainly made the gophers uncomfortable and didn’t give them many clean looks. - Being in house, I didn’t notice the refs much yesterday which was a good thing. Surprised to see so many comments about them this morning. I thought they were consistent (for the most part) at least which is all I ask. There was only once (on an and-1 drive for Minny in the 1st half followed by a KT drive and no call) where I was upset. - Happy that Fidone didn’t blow an ACL at half and wouldn’t mind seeing the dude who won the dunk contest do one of those over the goal posts after a pick-6 this year lol. - I thought Ben was relatively calm considering what was on the line for Minny. -Huge kudos to the students. Our Students really are great for not being known as a basketball school. They’re loud, keep the energy, and the “NIT” chant made me laugh (even though the NIT probably saved Johnson’s job) lol. - The OSU game now is really a “nothing to lose” type of game. We’ve already assured ourselves a .500 conference finish. We can beat OSU but it won’t be easy. - This team man. Love them. Love the fact that we can beat you with multiple players. Love the fact that we can beat you inside at times and from outside. - KT had a struggle game. CJ couldn’t get going. But Gary and Williams picked up the slack and it was never in doubt after we pulled away.

That’s a 3-1 series win that’s only going to get better as it ages. GCU is a good team and at times looked a little shaken at how things were going this weekend. Their first weekend wasn’t a fluke and neither was our weekend here. CofC will present challenges again, but boy this was an awesome showing in the desert.

Not having had to sweat a Nebrasketball game for over two weeks has certainly been a nice addition. Especially with so much on the line.

Another good possible point. And should ISU end up a 2 seed, they could definitely justify us as a 7 seed should our SOR remain where it is.

There was an article I posted last week in which the guy who leads the committee said point blank that they wouldn’t hesitate to put Nebraska in Omaha if that’s where we were seeded in the bracket.
