WBB vs Northwestern Highlights! (seems like a lot of feel-good cherry-picking going on; basically ignores what happens when the treys are NOT falliing in, i.e the 12 min scoring drought in the second quarter broken by the quarter-ending trey by Jaz (Huskers scored only 7 pts all qtr, after scoring 30 in the first Q), nor the difficulties overcoming Northwestern's Press. Doesn't show the scoring FAILS, allowing Northwestern to get back in the game.)

Husker Ladies Win an Ugly one @ Northwestern by Twelve Points: 78-66 Jaz Shelley with her 1,000th Career Point, and 2-6 Treys moves her into the top Ten Husker Players with made 3-pointers. Final Stats:
-
Jaz Shelley with her 1,000th career point!!!!
-
Double teamed & both get reach in fouls -- we oughtta get 4 FTS?
-
What an Ugly Game! Huskers have lost their composure, 20 pt lead now down to 7!
-
Huskers Lead by 15 (59-44) @ media TO (5:04 left in the game) Maddening to see the lapses by the Huskers (turnovers, poor handling pressure) after playing well.
-
Its Raining Treys Again Huskers w/ Back-to-back Treys; the second one a buzzer-beater by Sam Haiby to end the Quarter
-
Coley doesn't seem to be getting much development.
-
It seems when we happen to get hot on treys the rest of the offense suffers, sort of like we forget how to play in the paint.
-
Huskers back to a 12 point lead @ the Half: 37-25 (Defensive battle, rather lackluster offense by either team; only 7 pts for the Huskers in Q2) Halftime Stats:
-
Our offense in the paint is lacking.
-
Northwestern coming to life; closing to single-digits in the second; 32-23 @ TO (4:58)
-
First Qtr Stats: Husker Ladies Lead by 15 (30-15) It's Raining Treys!!!! (6 for the Huskers; 3 for Lady Wildcats)
-
11-3 @ first TO; all Husker Ladies (so far) Link to Live Stats: https://nusports.com/sidearmstats/wbball/media (for anyone interested)

MARKOWSKI NAMED TO LESLIE AWARD TOP TEN FINAL LIST
Red Don replied to redsteve's topic in Row 6 Seat 10
@huskerfrankis entirely right. This thread is about recognizing and congratulating Alexis Markowski for a job well done, and offering our encouragement to finish strong in the competition for the Leslie Award competition. (rather than my hijacking the thread to talk about player development. That topic, along with topics regarding recruiting, coaching and talent, tacked on the the end of the Michigan State Game Thread deserved their own specific Threads rather than being buried in the Markowsie/Mich State Game Threads) -
2024 SG Jordan Zubich, 5-11, Mtn-Iron HS (MN) - Offered (announcing Sun 2/12) It would be a Coup to get Zubich!! Huskers in her final Six (Seemed to have loved her OV)
